Qantas Points Club Discussion

Has anyone had recent experience with PC status credits being credited for QF flights but booked through a partner airline? I flew MEL-SYD J last night on QF after having booked on Asia Miles, but the points haven't credited yet. I made sure to add my QFF to the booking, just can't remember if they should come through instantly like regular status credits or there is a delay with PC. Or, alternatively, if they have clamped down on bookings through alternate sources??
Just to give an update on this. My points didn't come through after a couple of days so I logged a missing points request with them. The SCs were credited after a day or two and the ticket was closed, although I didn't get the double SCs that I was due - will have to follow up with them again for that I guess.

But overall, suggests that they officially intend to honour giving SCs for PC members regardless of whether another OW partner's redemption or not.

It took me until June 27th to resolve for me, three months after I first emailed QF. (Feb 28th anniversary.). So good luck! Just keep emailing until it is resolved. NB. I am still battling to have reward flight SCs applied.

Next year I am going to take a screen shot of my points and status credit just before the end of Feb.

Speaking of screenshots of the account, has anyone noticed that when you print your QF activity statement, it shows all the points balance and the balance of all the points you've earned from various methods but it doesn't show your SC balance?

Update. Still no resolution. I'm thinking the only way to get real traction on this might be to send an email to some executive contacts?
Checked this morning, still no Points Club. Called yet again asking what happened to the call back from the supervisor. At first I got the same spiel around how everyone is busy and how they can only continue to update the ticket for the back-end team to action.

Then I asked for the supervisor again, got put on hold and then got told they have gone ahead and updated my account with the relevant Points Club membership. Checked and it's there now.

So I'm happy that it's finally resolved, but at the same time a little confused as to why they couldn't do this four weeks ago.

My 100 PC+ rollover SCs credited yesterday, 5 days into the new member year. Interestingly, for the whole day, they were in the activity list, but not the SC total for 2023-24. That only righted itself overnight. It's a long climb back up to 350K from here! That said, I didn't expect to hit it last year, and ended up just short of 480K, so I guess anything's possible!

Cheers,
Matt.

Not even in my most active card churning times have I gotten close to 400k. You must have put some big amounts through the cards, yeah? I'm starting to move towards Velocity now, seems easier to redeem for trips out of Aus. Still planning to earn and maintain PC with Qantas though. Loved flying Finnair

Yes - just the one SUB, and the rest was just well-played personal spend, including WW EDR, and then QF Shopping, Red Planet etc. No business spend.

Makes me consider quitting my full time gig and make them rehire me as a contractor 😂 gotta get those business card earnings lol

Kidding, of course, job too good

Not sure, I assume not flying points, this is the text on my points club progress page:

Transferred from Qantas Business Rewards
Points transferred from Qantas Business Rewards (up to 20,000 per Frequent Flyer Membership Year).

Well, if they land as non flying PC points that‘s good news!

Interesting.
Looks like its own category.

It now appears you can get the first 20K of business rewards transferred into a personal account as points club...

This is excellent news for me. I was likely going to be a few tens of thousand points short from maintaining PC+ this year. My solution was going to be to transfer Amex MR points over but this saves me having to waste those MR points on QF. Happy days!
