Qantas Points Club Discussion

I'm not sure, as I thought it should be by activity date. But I'm not seeing the activity dates on hotel stays, only the posting dates hence I thought that is what will count. Happy to be wrong.
If you open your account in a ‘desktop’ web browser and organise by date in points activity, you can click to expand any entry for the activity date. It is often different to the posting date

Cheers,
Matt

Yes, “date” view (not ”category”) shows the activity date. It does actually show in the app also.

Thanks for how-to notes re Activity Statement. There's something amiss with my desktop version (in Chrome) which isn't expanding to show extra details in date view and is also not allowing me to see Transaction History beyond last 3 mths. It's unresponsive in all manner of ways but the app shows things correctly so at least there's that.

I found yesterday I had the same issue, and also happens on other browsers like Firefox, as well... another QF IT team special!

Yep, it was working earlier in the week but stuffed at the mo still. I noticed it yesterday also trying to take a screen shot - of course, it decided to cark it. Fortunately the app has the details without needing to expand.

In early May, about 6 weeks ago, I reached Points Club for the first time in a couple of years. I received 2 General lounge invitations a week or two later.

Late last week, to my surprise, I received another 2 invitations. On the Qantas app, each of the 4 invitations states "Points Club member benefit". My Membership Year is 1 August to 31 July.

Have I received 2 invitations for my next Membership Year early? Is there another explanation? Or is this a glitch?

I am so close to attaining PC+ , anniversary June 30.

Completed 3 stays overseas last week with Qantas Hotel bookings.
Emailed receipts, tax invoices and proof of stay on Saturday, auto reply with reference number.

Did a follow-up call this morning. Agent was helpful and has "guaranteed" when points awarded in 6-8 weeks, they will be backdated and I will attain PC+.
She will send an email to this effect later today.
I am not sure if this is entirely correct.

Any AFFer's had experience with this?

How many points off are you? Could be worth buying some gift cards (or similar) for the sake of removing the headache if you need to chase it further

It was discussed up thread a similar scenario and backdating. From memory, someone was told the system does automatically update during a 4(?) wk window after status year but the hotel stay activity will be date of check out (proof of current year activity). So keep track of when they post and if PC+ doesn’t update within ~48 hrs, I’d contact them again.

Take a screen shot of your PC earn page on the 30th because that will presumably reset to zero on 01 July.

But if it’s only a small amount, it would be safer to top up? Woolies EDR?

Sub 28,000 points, should have another 1800 by 29 June.

Had thought of gift cards, no purchases planned where we could use them, we don't have Woolies close and don't shop there also have a stash of wine @exceladdict
Boring aren't I!

Good advice re screenshot @SYD thanks will do.

I had read the post upthread and the 4/52 window, that is what gave me hope!
Check out dates are 9, 14 and 20 June 🤞

Will give update when her email arrives and also when points post.

Email arrived: States as per T&C's points will be awarded 6/8 weeks, will be backdated to attain PC/PC+
It seems It is accrual date, not date posted. 🤞View attachment 392350
Yep, “Accrual” (or activity date) is what matters. There was some discussion a while back where a few of us were trying to reconcile points earned during the current member year didn’t match the running tally for PC. It turned out that all of us had one or more hotels or QF shopping points land weeks or months after the activity date and they were straddling member years. So that those points were technically the previous PC member year.

Yes, I do remember some posts about points not aligning @SYD
I will be patient now!
