Having moved between states CC spend has been higher than usual, flying once a month, plus my rent goes through it which makes a big difference.

Really comes down to how much you do things within the Qantas FF ecosystem - and their fingers are in pretty much every pie. No superyachts I'm afraid, but I'm sure anyone with Qantas Home Loans and multiple rental properties would do alright as well! Credit card programs are still definitely the key to earning for most people though

Funny enough, I am the most impressed with the red planet surveys 4700 points. I tried a bit red planet, the ratio points/time spend put me off quickly.

Certainly worth it if you have the time. I’m up to 7k this year so far (that’s SYD-MEL CR + $100). Last year was only 16k (SYD-MEL return) but previous years have been ~20k. I don’t remember how long it took to get on RP. I know SYD+1 had a few years head start.

I was in it from the start and looking at the earn history that was at least back to late 2015. I have earnt only 34000 points from it in all that time, but I don't religiously do the surveys and have gone long periods ignoring it. They can be quite tedious. Those on the waitlist could try the Flybuys ones. They can be decent for earning points.

Pushed PC+ today. (Transfer from CC).

Was debating whether i should do so or not for the anniversary year that ends in a couple of days. (100SC rollover mainly). Decided I'll have the extra 100SC for WP this year again for another year and reassess the program and WP after the dust settles post devaluation.

Over 75k since Feb 2020! COVID years were useful for one thing….

Yes. I sometimes force a screen out if I know it’s going to be one of those. The Banking ones can be particularly bad…

I don’t seem to get those any more. Maybe because I didn’t do any….

eRewards (via VA or other programs) is handy to have some points to transfer to keep loyalty program points alive.

Agreed - definitely helped me trickle over for my first year of Points Club! Looks like I've earnt about 38,000 RP QFF points since I started using it [regularly] in Apr 2021. It's still a nice general supplement now, though I don't need it for PC/PC+ anymore. I was PC+ twice over in the last membership year, and requalified last month for PC+ just 4 and a bit months into the current membership year

Would be interesting to see a histogram of how many people earn different ranges of QFF points, in 50k or 100k buckets

Please remind me - having a senior's moment . More of them lately maybe associated with the receipt of my last Qantas wine dozen.
Does a PC+ earn status credits as well as those from flights on QF reward flights?
I can remember that I have received bonus status points from PC+50 or 100 points in the past.

No. PC+ earns status credits.

They’re earned on classic award flights at a reduce rate, but also eligible for DSC.

The 100SC you’re thinking of, could be the SC rollover for PC+.

The unique to PC+ component is the roll-over of 100SC to start your next membership year.

No such thing as status points, as has been explained to you (and others reading) already.
That term is the best example of poor communication, because half refers to one thing and half refers to a completely different other entity.
No judgement, the truth is, best to use the right language if asking for help.

You receive bonus points on QF Wine, QF Hotels, and 2500 points if your earn 250,000 towards PC in a year.

I'm trying to take advantage of the Double status credits promotion and am doing calculations as to how many credits i need to retain my status.
I am interested in status credits earned on classic rewards travel - I am PC+.
I will be flying business award BNE-SYD-SIN-LHR late this month.
The SCs from east coast australia to europe amount to 112.
As I fly from BNE-SYD as the first sector , will I also receive the 18 SCs from this sector in addition to the 112?
It may seem a minor issue but getting these credits would save me money and a flight sector needed to retain my status .
