Qantas Premier Credit Card

I didn't receive any points for my most recent water bill payment (Icon Water), even though I did for the previous quarter. I still received points for the electricity bill payment (ActewAGL), but I don't know that I'm game to trust them not to change it for the next quarter. :(

Icon Water allows you pay via postbillpay, which has a paypal option - this might be a way to get around the government exclusion.

this is a good card to earn 1 point per dollar up to 5k spend per statement but issued by citibank

Hi all

I applied for this card, did the spend and got the points. I'm happy. I will be shortly closing down this credit card but I noticed that I'm entitled to 2 lounge passes.

Are these passes electronic or certificates? If they are paper passes how do I apply for them?

I presume that if they are electronic passes I will lose them when my account is closed.

cheers Peter

Applied for this card last Friday night, received a call today to confirm some details and received a SMS in the afternoon informing me that I've been approved. The SMS states to check my email for further information... yet I've never received an email for starting and completing the application.

Will be back to update once I've spent the $3k

The offer has been updated, up to 80,000 bonus points. Receive 40,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $3,500 or more per month for the first 2 months from card approval. And no more discounted annual fee.

I had to laugh at my wife's application for this card (and am definitely not surprised due to the pain I've gone through with Citibank in the past). Applied and provided all relevant documentation straight away. Heard nothing, so after 7 business days she called to follow up...and yes, she is very forward with stupid questioning!

Citibank - "How long have you been living in AU?"
Wife - "My whole life."
Citibank - "So you haven't lived in any other country?"
Wife - "No."
Citibank - "So how many years exactly have you lived in AU?"
Wife - "You've got my DOB there don't you? Almost 30 years."
Citibank - "Oh OK, so should I put down 29 years or 30 years?"
Wife - "I have no idea, what does it matter? I've lived in AU since I was born!"
Citibank - "And what other addresses have you lived at other than the one on your application?"
Wife - "How far back?"
Citibank - "Ummmm, maybe the last five addresses."
Wife - "Seriously? I don't remember my last five. Here's my last two prior to current one......"
Citibank - "OK. But you've lived in other addresses?"
Wife - "Yes"
Citibank - "And are those other addresses in other states."
Wife - "Yes. I was born in ACT but now live in NSW."
Citibank - "OK, we might need to look into that."
Wife - "Why? What do you actually want? This would move a lot quicker if you actually asked proper questions from which you need proper answers!"

And so it continued! They said another 3-5 business days before we hear from them. o_O

It's been almost a year since the launch of this card. I missed out on cancelling and getting the half annual fee/75k promo a couple of months ago.
Has anyone had any luck with getting an annual fee waived or bonus points for staying?

I made an AirBnB booking with this card for an Australian property in AUD but was still charged an international fee. I've had no issues with other cards before. I would recommend paying via PayPal for AirBnB to avoid this charge.

Cancelled today on anniversary. Was offered a $50 reduction off the $299 annual fee which I politely declined

May reapply in a few months if bonus point offer still available

My annual fee is due. Rang up to today to cancel saying it was too expensive and was offered 50% fee reduction to $150

Hi, link to this? I can't find any reference to 80k points
