They were true to their 6 month exclusion rule, my application for the everyday card was declined. The portal said I was welcome to try again in 3 months, but suspect that is a generic response for all refusal reasons so I'll wait 6 months.

I thought that an automatic decline of a second application, within 6 months of your first, is pretty common with a lot of banks.

Maybe it is and I've been lucky? Virgin, ANZ & NAB (in the good old days) certainly don't.

Has anyone had any luck with retention offers for the Qantas Premier card? Our first 12 months is up and if we don't get offered additional sign-on bonuses for the $299 annual fee I think we will cancel.

Yes my 12 months is up next month so I will be interested to hear your result.

Did you ring to say you would cancel? I have used this card quite a lot over the last year so hopefully that will go in my favour.

Yes, said to the first person I spoke to that I didn’t see the value in this card and wanted to cancel. After the usual “just one minute please sir......” came back with 50% off annual fee offer. I spend a fair amount on this card.

I wonder what is happening with the rumoured 'black version' and if there would be an exclusion period for current card holders.

Is Qantas planning a Premier Black credit card?

You'd expect that QF Loyalty would be working on this behind the scene's, and if they played it correctly, a 'Black' QFF Credit Card with the right perks could be an absolute winner for them - no doubt it'll just be a ho-hum card though.

Now, I'm probably going to get flamed from the WP's on here, but say if QFF issued a black card with the ability to get 2xF lounge passes as a perk, that wold certainly differentiate it from the rest of th black cards and I'd certainly consider being on board!! - I highly doubt this would happen though as I'd expect they'd get a massive backlash from their most valuable customers.

As per Mumndads experience ,I was accidentally put through to qantas cards by QFF and when they asked if there was anything else they could do I mentioned I was thinking about cancelling the card and was there anything they could offer.
She mentioned the balance transfer and stepped payments which I declined , then she came back with full refund of the annual fee :)
I like this card for its 1 pt per dolar spend and have accepted the fee free offer for next year !

Thanks for reporting back, had your annual fee been charged or was this before it was applied. Mine is due this month.

Has anyone received the QantasWine $50 off voucher? According to T&C it should have been sent to me within 30 days of approval. I rang the help center and they will 'ring me back' with an outcome.
I've checked my spam folder and it's not there.

This was before the charge appeared even online.
I had intended to ring soon but this was opportunistic and successful!

Anyone got the 10k points yet? I got the 90k points from the St George card no problem but not the extra 10k
