I dont see why they wouldnt. QF8 is a 747 which has PE.
What class does it say you will be booked into on the BNE-SYD leg?
I'm confused. There is no PE to BKK.Not sure...I've already booked and the confirmation shows PE for BNE-BKK-BNE.
The outward connecting shows Economy, the return shows Economy confirmed also. Outward is domestic QF, return shows QF8.

Or did you mean SIN?

sounds to me like you are booked in economy on QF8. Jump into manage my booking and let us know what class fare it is booked against just to confirm.
Click the drop down for More Flight Info. Will be next to booking class. Will say for example:
Booking Class: Premium Economy (T) <-- thats your ticket class.
Got it...
B for domestic and T for international. Under flight info for QF8: "Your flight from Brisbane to Sydney will be in Economy"
There are still some QF codeshares on BA - generally to some European ports that EK don't service. (e.g.QF3373 LHR-TLS)Unlikely. In any case the One World schedule download ( which is quite good about codeshares - though no perfect) does not show one.
As well I have not found any reference to QF codes shares with BA since the start of the EK partnership.
Happy wandering

I'm looking at Y+ SYD to BKK vv. Sale fare is available with flights in both directions via BNE. I noticed the return shows QF8. Would/should QF give Y+ seating, assuming QF8 has such seats?
QF8 is indeed available with Y+. The normal booking procedures of checking for the infamous exclamation mark applies. If the specific fare class is not available on QF8, I think it offers Y instead.
Are there any differences between the Y+ seating on the two configs of the 3 class 744?
My trip to SIN is showing two different configs.
Outbound: SeatGuru Seat Map Qantas Boeing 747-400RR (744); and
Return: SeatGuru Seat Map Qantas Boeing 747-400GE (744).
Dont try AB Bulkhead on the outbound, its terrible re leg room by comparison.
Thanks, good to know and just confirms my opinions of bulkheads in general, that with my legs, I need to avoid them. We have 33AB.
Are the seats the same though on both config? i.e. are they both refurbished birds?
On the other hand, with your outbound, (configuration http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/flying/inTheAir/ourAircraft/744-56J40PY275Y.pdf ) the 29J/K bulkheads are the best seats in the PE Cabin (unless you are pushing 7' or more). Thanks, good to know and just confirms my opinions of bulkheads in general, that with my legs, I need to avoid them. Thanks. Currently unavailable for me to select as an SG, so fingers crossed they are available come T-80. In fact all of rows 29 and 30 are unavailable so I guess they are reserved for WP and up.
