Qantas Red Planet

My boss received the email (well, actually I get all his emails first) no status or points in his account.
I completed the 2 the survey, but then put all my details in at the end.
Will have to see which of us gets the next round of surveys to complete.

I just signed up for this. Has anyone done anything other than online surveys for this so far? Wondering if they do phone/in-person focus groups etc.

Got invite today.

Couldn't get past first page where I'm left to fix email address and pw. Will try once again at work tomorrow.

I emailed them to ask to be put on the wait list for an invitation.

Got an email back with the invitation, and have joined. Not heard from them again. Guess I will only get surveys that match my profile information.

We shall see.

I've also received an invite today, even though I joined some weeks ago! One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

Has anyone got and rewards apart from the satisfaction of donating your time for free for surveys for Third Ark data miners?

Not me but if you look at the original email (text copied from Post 1) it hasn't really started yet:
"....Ten members will each win 500,000 points for completing two surveys by 31 July 2015.*

Twelve members will each win 50,000 points for completing at least one survey every quarter, to be drawn from 1 August 2015.^

Earn up to 300 points for every completed survey from 1 August 2015....."

Must go back and check what conditions the * and ^ refer to.

Oh yes I know what it 'promises'. Like the rest of the sheep, I signed up. Just never met anyone who wins these things.

SWMBO - QF NB with a little over 2K LTSC received the offer.

Me - QF WP with nearly 30K lifetime SC's ... nada ...

With 32,000 posts on AFF they probably figure they can draw your opinions from there :)

.....The Red Planet Panel is an independent online market research program established by Qantas and comprised exclusively of Qantas Frequent Flyers. .....

There is nothing in this to suggest that higher status would make inclusion more likely.

Sorry QF, but it smells to me that in yet another spinoff of the FF program, the members have been sold off as a "market research group" - fairly valuable when you have the personal details of millions of Aussies. With a couple of FF point prizes to ensure that members accept this. Hmmmmm........
