Qantas refurbished 767 QF4 on HNL SYD

Just remember that simply looking at a seat map has no bearing on how full the flight so it could be a full flight with the seat map 2/3 allocated.

Good point. EF would be a better tool to use.

If you want to avoid the QF3 overnight flight why not do your award ticket on an open jaw basis eg SYD/LAX - HNL/SYD then the status run LAX/XYZ then XYZ/HNL?

You would probably be in front points wise in & out of HNL which is 36K plus taxes pp IIRC. KUPPs are pretty similar ex HNL vs ex LAX.

Another good point....fare was on sale SYD-HNL-SYD so just took it as I knew there were several KUPPs available ex-HNL. I will certainly think about the SYD-LAX option next time.

So just to confirm, the 1-2-2 birds are being kept in that config just getting the refresh to their seats as per the other planes?

Is there a list of which a/c have and haven't been updated?

We flew PER-DRW-PER last month. The outward flight was on a next generation 737-800 and we were excited to be trying the Marc Newson new generation seats. We weren't impressed: the leather seats are hard, thinly padded and not at all comfortable. We tried the fold-out footrests and although we're both not tall (me 5'7", he 5'8"), it felt like being perched in a barber's chair. On the way home we scored a 737-800 that had yet to go an upgrade and was fitted out with the old blue seats. They were soooo comfy and felt like old friends.

That's nice but not really much to do with the topic
