Is this a MHupgrade ticket? It looks like they are not even honouring my business class tickets from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur return taken in June 2022 as they claim it’s not eligible to earn. But it’s class “I”. Do I have grounds to get a review again?
2 days for me for a domestic MH flight in J class. How long is it taking for MH flights to be credited to QFF (when they're not being rejected)?
Probably won't.Hm...okay. I did an MASwings flight last week and it still hasn't credited.
I don't believe MASwings is a oneworld airline.Hm...okay. I did an MASwings flight last week and it still hasn't credited.
MASwings is owned by MH, but it isn't an affiliate of oneworld.I don't believe MASwings is a oneworld airline.
MASwings and Malaysia Airlines share the IATA code. Their ICAO code and callsigns are different. The ticket was booked as an MH flight. It even showed up on my QF app for future flights and my booking had all my QFF details.
I would not expect any credit to QFF for travel on a MH*SQ flight....
MASwings flights are treated as codeshares on Malaysia Airlines, and post to QFF just the same as an MH coded SQ flight would.
From the link I posted:The ticket was booked as an MH flight. It even showed up on my QF app for future flights and my booking had all my QFF details.
Qantas Points and Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes, except on Malaysia Airlines codeshare flights operated by an airline other than Qantas or a oneworld member airline.
pretty much no, you need to book using a TA and specify the fare codes you’d like a quote on. Buying online, I believe all the fares are priced using the NDC so they take a base fare (Q/N) and apply a surcharge as a “flex”. Only way to buy eligible fares is to wait until the ineligible are sold out as far as I can tell (other than calling a TA and specifying your preferred fare class).I booked the most expensive possible fully flexible economy airfares for flights from PNH to KUL then on to DPS, and then DPS, KUL, MNL. There were other cheaper, less flexible fare classes available. Somehow these flights are coded 'Q' and 'N' which do not even appear on the Qantas earn table so they are refusing to credit points/SC's. So based on my experience it is impossible to earn anything with Malaysian Airlines intra-Asia flights with Qantas when booking online fully flexible economy tickets. Seems like a total joke to me. Is there any remedy?
MH often has dirt cheap intra Asia business classflights. Probably better off stumping up a tad more if you want SC’s or use a TA for economy flightsI booked the most expensive possible fully flexible economy airfares for flights from PNH to KUL then on to DPS, and then DPS, KUL, MNL. Yes, but some earn at economy flex earn rates (off the top of my head, I and Z are the economy-earn business fare classes). And do all MH business class codes earn intra-Asia?
I’m not sure as it’s been a long time since I’ve credited them to QF.And do all MH business class codes earn intra-Asia?
