Qantas Survey: "Help us get to know you better"

Got mine yesterday. Quick to do.

As noted, it doesn't handle xONEx's at all well when asking about how many return trips.

As for the Jetstar question, the obvious answer selection they missed was 'I've never flown Jetstar'. As I'm in that category, how could I sensibly answer? - but I had to put something to move on. I took a rough guess at what my response would be if had had flown it :p.

Generally, these surveys with categorical answers are pretty cr*p. But no doubt the amateurs running them convince the client that they are worth paying big bucks for :(.

I gave it +2 but only because of its destinations that QF doesn't fly to, or doesn't fly direct.

I would give JQ35 the thumbs up for a WP

My one and only JQ flight and was disappointed it was on time :D

I do research for a living. One thing to think about, is that if you really don't want to do something about an issue, then don't ask the question, as asking invariably leads people into thinking that something will be done about it. Same with the comments section; Qantas don't want to know, they just want answers to the questions they have asked and are interested in.

So how many put a Zero (or was it a 1 - extremely unlikely) next to the question "How likely is it you will refer Jetstar to someone else?" :)
I did - and also a comment somewhere that hell will freeze over before I fly Jetstar.....(or was that in the other survey? - I've done two this week)

I didn’t give it a zero, as the few flights I’ve had with them haven’t been terrible, but I would certainly recommend a few carriers ahead of them.

The question that should have been associated with that question was what could they do to make you recommend them? Is recognition of status all that is needed?

I had to weight up my highly negative view of corporate jetstar against some very good onboard experiences that I've had, including very accommodating crew when it comes to announcement engagements.

I gave Jetstar a 7, but am very happy for everyone else to krap all over them because it will keep the airfares low. I think if you book via the Jetstar website, add the plus bundle (and baggage if required), have access to a Qantas lounge AND DON'T MISS YOUR FLIGHT ... then there is nothing wrong with the value JQ provides.

Of course if you really have to be somewhere by a certain time, a full-service airline is a better bet.

I've often wondered if your answers to these sorts of surveys affect your PCV in Altea?

Seems somewhat logical that they might use the answers for this purpose - this most recent survey contained lots of info that would help QF determine how potentially valuable a pax is. e.g., IIRC it asked for details of your non-QF travel/FF status (which QF therefore has a chance of winning over), how much you earn (which would help indicate your likelihood of travelling premium classes now and in the future), etc - I think it even had a question about your role at your workplace, which included an option for "Primary decision maker about staff amenities" (which I'd infer as being "do you decide which airline(s) the company's employees fly with?", amongst other things).

What do others think?

I think I should have lied on the survey in that case.

I think I should have lied on the survey in that case.

And that's probably the biggest potential problem with using the data gathered for PCV or similar... but I don't think it precludes it as a possibility.

+4. Who would give it more than zero?
Me as I would reccomend it to someone I didn't like.

I did it. Honestly.

I am not impressed with the Y class prizes. Hope they are upgrade able?
That's why i entered-i will only ever win a prize I dont like.

I would give JQ35 the thumbs up for a WP

They all forgot about that one.
