Besides their video based boarding system. There's absolutely no problem whatsoever by transiting in HKG.

You all asked for evidence, I provided it… I would say the lot of you are lucky! But I still recommend DO NOT go NEAR HKG! But of course it’s just 1 recommendation of many…
Drug smuggling is a known crime, but being arrested for freedom of speech is another!!!Probably shouldn't transit any airport where someone was busted for drug smuggling then...because you know, they were arrested for breaking the law. I mean it's pretty simple really. Don't break the law of the land and you don't need to worry.

But this is HK we are talking about, they USED to have it and it was legalI think everyone knows that freedom of speech doesn't exist in China.

Nor in some "allied" nations, if we're perfectly frank.I think everyone knows that freedom of speech doesn't exist in China.
I'm certainly not going to pay you, but I transited HKG a couple of times last week (in J class) and it couldn't have been more pleasant (apart from the CX lounges closing for 2-3 hours overnight).Glad you are NOT going via HKG! I would not even go near HKG even if you pay me... too risky especially with the geopolitical climate!! good that you nab the QF 1 service via SYD SIN!
I am glad you enjoyed it and hope you had fun, sadly my opinion stands as is…I'm certainly not going to pay you, but I transited HKG a couple of times last week (in J class) and it couldn't have been more pleasant (apart from the CX lounges closing for 2-3 hours overnight).
HKG is very pleasant and efficient to transit, especially if you have lounge access.
