Qantas T-80 no longer a thing?

T-80 worked beautifully for me just yesterday,,,
It was certainly working on a domestic flight MEL-BNE yesterday morning.

T-80 hours and 5 minutes, rows 4 and 5 on 73H blocked for this WP, T-79 hours and 55 minutes, row 4 allocated 100%.

BTW, Welcome to AFF @kirkwoodj ... :D

FYI ...same thing has happened for my return flight Syd-DFW.

T-78 and MMB is saying that individual seat selection is not available for this flight and cant see the seat map.

I already paid for 82A .. will see if I get bumped from my selected seat again this time..

Is the T-80 seat selection still "available"?
I have 2 PNRs - one paid for me and one reward for Mrs WF (no status)

Select two seats in the back and hope T-80 changes will be allowed?

Thanks
Not that I am finally again wandering

Approximately T-65
Wife's award ticket had been re-issued a couple of days previous by AA as a result of a QF cancellation/forced change. The linkage between her previous ticket (same PNR) and my QF revenue ticket had been dropped and her special assistance request also disappeared.

The selection of seats for her was extremely limited, though I could see a modest availability. Calling reservations was able to resolve this, but the telephone agent had to relink the tickets to do "anything" and even then had to obtain overrides to enable the seat selection for my wife.

Hope it helps your wandering

Morning all,

Went to update seat selection at T-80.

QF9

Managed to lose my existing seat entirely (41H) whilst chasing a bulkhead seat.

It does not allow me to select a replacement seat.

Called Qantas and also advised due to me “managing” my booking I cannot (& they can’t) select any seats and needs to be done at the airport.

Anyone else had this issue?

With QF9 there might be the added complexity in seat selection considering that some pax will only be booked on the DRW-LHR segment. When I flew QF9 a few weeks ago I noticed many pax had 2 BPs.

Hello, does the same rule apply for Virgin? all seats in the front part of the cabin seem to be blocked.
I've wondered the same thing about VA. My +1 is a newly minted VA gold and on the first flight he booked with his new status there were no empty seats on the map forward of the over wing exits on a flight - that by inference is lightly loaded (cheap fares, non-peak travel time for the route).

Has Qantas stopped the T80 ability to select seats? I'm flying J on a BNE-SYD 737-800 and it is currently -T52 and I still get the following message when trying to seat select

Individual seat selection isn't available for this flight.
Select a seat preference

TIA

Cabin is probably full and/or row 1 might have some seats blocked for CL/P1.

I had same issues MEL PER 737 flight Sunday, could select limited seats before T80 (choose one), but as soon as T80 happened, seat map disappeared and only 'Individual seat selection isn't available for this flight' message. This remained up to check in. Original seat allocation did hold. Flight was full.
