Qantas to boost Melbourne-Los Angeles flights

I'm working under the assumption that if QF flew SYD-HNL-LAX (or originating anywhere else in Australia) that they wouldn't do so unless they had traffic rights for the US domestic segment. It is highly unlikely that they would get this though, and I can't see JQ flying to the continental US unless QF's business model completely collapses. And even then, LAX would probably be the last of QF's international routes to remain even as that theoretically happened.

Always have two key timetable changes early Oct and early Nov - this year 5 Oct (MEL onto DST) & 2 Nov (LAX off DST). This of course would not mean people being rescheduled, as would have been factored into scheduling originally (unless the dates moved). The other change seems to take place on 23 Sep, where the 93->94 turnaround must commence, as from then there is 2:15 between 93 arriving and 94 leaving.

OK i think that's what i'm seeing. I'll have another look but those were roughly the dates. I wasnt sure when the 94 --> 93 operation switch was occurring.

I'm working under the assumption that if QF flew SYD-HNL-LAX (or originating anywhere else in Australia) that they wouldn't do so unless they had traffic rights for the US domestic segment.

In the past, QF did fly onwards from HNL to SFO (and possibly LAX) so they did have these rights. I wonder if they ever actually handed these back, or simply stopped using them, but still actually have them and could resume this service at any time?
