applied last night, received phone call stating approved this morning and no further documents needed - quite a painless application process so far. received the minimum credit limit as requested.

I've had a much more painful experience - I applied online last night, then this morning received a phone call wanting to know lots more info - all my residential addresses for the last 35 years, how much is my mortgage (which was in the application), how much I spend on electricity per month, what street I live in now (which of course was in the application) ................... a 12 minute phone call that achieved not very much they didn't already know.

Now it goes to the "approval team"...............

I applied online this morning. Asked me to upload payslips which I did and it advised I had done so successfully.
Then it stayed on the "upload documents" page but didn't ask me for any other docs. There was no "Next" of "Finish" button. I received an email stating my application was being assessed. I then clicked on the "Check my application status" link in the email, and it took me back to the upload documents page. So I have no idea if the application was complete or not.

Amateurish.

Yes a little disappointing.

But for those of us who already have the ANZ Black there is no sign-up bonus from ANZ, a limit of 7,500 points per month, a similar earn rate and a fee of $425 per annum ($490 if you have an additional card:shock:); and as others have pointed out a minimum income of $75k. While others will be lining up for the ANZ Black, I will be cancelling mine come Annual fee time.

And for those of us who already have a direct AMEX then there are limited, if any, sign-on opportunities there.:(

So I will take the QF card if they will approve my application, cancel some other cards and reassess at a later date.

Ditto, except that I will wait until my ANZ Black is due for renewal and then replace it with this.

As an aside, I rang up ANZ when the "enhancements" to the Amex portion of their black cards were mailed to me and received half my annual fee back :)

Exact same thing happened to me. I received a call from them asking me to confirm a few details. Then they said the website document upload function was broken and told me to send 2x payslips to [email protected]

I did, 15mins later got an SMS and email saying approved.

Another thing, minor I know, but it annoys me..

The graphic displays a balance for "all accounts" for "John" of $290,421
QCash.jpg
However the T&C's state

Maximum number of Qantas Cash Facilities you may hold in your name at any one time: One
Maximum balance allowed at any one time across all Currencies: AUD $100,000

So... how is it possible for John to have $290,421 across "all accounts"?

I'm surprised you even noticed this and then also quoted the T&C's! lol

From the press release:

Cardholders will be able to manage their Qantas Premier account through the Qantas Money app while they’re on the move. The app allows users to see their balance, statements, transaction history and more, plus connect their accounts with other financial institutions to help them see their overall financial position.

From the press release:

That'll teach me for reading the T&C's whilst ignoring the all important press releases..

It does raise a question though. Are your account credentials for other financial institutions stored in the App?

The other thing I noticed is this: You’ll need your Qantas Frequent Flyer details to log in. Not a Frequent Flyer? You’ll be able to join for free when you download the app, saving you the $89.50 joining fee

I have previously used the app/website Pocketbook to examine expenses. I gave up on it, but am now trying the Qantas Money app and it's very similar, but feels a little more polished. Clearly they've been testing!

It's nice to be able to see my finances all in one spot from multiple banks... however I do realise that I am also sharing all my habits with QFF in that process! :p

I see that the companion discount is once per calendar year, rather than card year. So you could use it twice before churning.

Did the caller sound like they were from a large Citi bank call center?

Had the same issue with no "Finish" button on the document upload screen - just kept reuploading the same docs over and over for every category until they were done then it clicked over to the completed page
