Must admit, when this thread first appeared I thought "How '2004' (and every year in between)" ... but I *like* this !! Can't wait to catch it in the flesh.

They now seem to have added a rather large pinky/redish bow tie under James Strong on both sides of the aircraft. Here's a photo I snapped from the window of VH-OGT on Tuesday afternoon.

As an aside, I don't know what was more awkward explaining to my colleague why I wanted to go on the later 5pm flight (a 763) rather than the 4:45pm flight or having her realise that I am inclined to take photos of planes on my blackberry. Although she didn't complain at being able to use the premium security line and the free champagne in the J lounge. I hope that she didn't see me shudder when she mentioned that she wasn't a QF FF member.

The bow tie was unveiled on the day it arrived.

You might like to sign your friend up and help her claim her points, if for no other reason than to transfer them to you if she's so inclined. If you have a business, you could also "employ" her ;)

Is the interior retro as well?

I flew SYD-BNE on Sunday 16 November which is too early for this aircraft.

No curtain between business and economy. And the divider between business and economy was not all the way to the ceiling so you could clearly see business class from row 4.

Initially I thought BSI but there was no IFE. Thoughts?

Which flight number were you on JohnK, and we can check it up for you as to the rego of the aircraft.

Was it a plastic divider? If so its the trial refurb plane from a couple of years ago

Just boarded the retro-37 for tonight's 694.

Have to say:I'm guessing this is the new interior config, leg-room in Row 7 is very noticeably reduced (that'll teach me to abandon the exit row!!)

An internal retro experience, this isn't!!

...and an engineer has just wandered down the aisle with a replacement seat...that didn't last long!!
