I don't know the answer, but ALH and Dan Murphys are owned by Endeavour which was spun out of Woolworths a few years ago. Maybe an issue on the Endeavour side.So I finally had my qff membership card blocked and decided to go with Qantas pay.
What a terrible card this isā¦.After receiving the new card (and activating it) we went out to dinner at an ALH property and ācard not exceptedā then tried to buy some wine from Dan Murphy and also ācard not exceptedā called the call centre and nothing wrong with the card, so tried Woolies and all sweet, went back to Dan Murphy today and still comes up with ācard not acceptedā . Considering these are all owned by the same company my only thought is there must be some sort of 18+ block on it? Has anyone else had a problem with this?
I have just applied for the BankWest Qantas one, however this one does have the condition to deposit $2000 pm. Mrs Radio is on UBank good for savings and international fee freeI'm ready to ditch my QP card too. Should have done it years ago.
I would like to replace it with a fee free (for overseas transactions) debit/visa debit card that doesn't get complicated with minimum amounts deposited in order to be fee free. Looks like Macquarie Bank Transaction Card is the way to go.
Does anyone advocate for something better?

Just a quick update on this, I did apply for the BankWest account, but āpossiblyā due to my past 1c activities I was declined for it. So still on Qantas pay for now. Looking at possibly going to virgin money everyday go account, any thoughts or negative experiences with this one?I have just applied for the BankWest Qantas one, however this one does have the condition to deposit $2000 pm. Qantas Pay Card is ancient, outdated and terrible. Exchange rates are shocking, only 10 currencies available and no Apple Wallet facility! Get with the times. There are so many better cards available now. Until Qantas Pay has more currencies available and a digital wallet facility, this card will fail. I personally withdrew all funds from Qantas Pay and went to Revolut.
Unfortunately no Qantas Points on spend, but the currency rate difference more than makes up for what the points value earned would be. No fee on Revolut standard account.Does Revolut let you accrue Qantas points on your overseas spend though?
Also, isn't there a monthly fee for Revolut?
I agree that a lack of Apple Pay facility on it is pretty poor
QF Money is pretty poor value as a points earn for use OS. Maybe a last resort for domestic spend if one canāt get a CC.Does Revolut let you accrue Qantas points on your overseas spend though?
That would be a big no for me.Also, isn't there a monthly fee for Revolut?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
Good question about QF points earn this would be a factor for me and would wave Wise bye bye.Does Revolut let you accrue Qantas points on your overseas spend though?

Thanks for that and welcome to AFF @SkitchcatUnfortunately no Qantas Points on spend, but the currency rate difference more than makes up for what the points value earned would be. No fee on Revolut standard account.

Probably what bugs me most is, like some other cards, is the limited 10 currencies @Brucetiki1.5 points per $1 spent in foreign currency isnāt too bad TBH, but each to their own
But youāre paying at least 3% or more on the coughpy exchange rate and tying up your money with them (while they earn interest on your money - thatās also why I donāt use Wise).1.5 points per $1 spent in foreign currency isnāt too bad TBH, but each to their own
There is a weekend fee for currency conversion (so best to do it on a weekday) and a monthly cap of $2000 AUD in currency conversion without additional fees. If you plan ahead this monthly limit should not be a big issue.Good question about revolutās monthly free. I always thought it was for a fee when transferring.
