Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Finally flying with QF again, surprised that for a day trip BNE/MEL/CBR/BNE they were cheapest on all sectors.

Put in upgrade requests for the first and third sectors. Only a Silver member (but not for long) as DSC on these flights will be me to 60 SC’s short of LTG. Next return flight (maybe ADL) should get me over the line.

Got the Upgrade Fairy text this evening:

Definitely available. Did you try @dairyfloss advice to cancel the request and re-submit it?

It should be instant, if it works... you say 'confirmed', but is it actually ticketed? It won't work without this. Depending on how they booked the flights, like through an agency, there are occasions where the booking will sit idle until a certain ticketing date. Could that be possible? Not possible to validate this on the Qantas site (which is ridiculous), but you can search the PNR (booking reference) on some other oneworld airline sites to confirm - e.g. go to BA Manage my Booking > [enter details] > View eTicket receipt

p.s. the three U class coded fares are still available:

Cheers,

Based on what you’re saying, something is not working as it is supposed to. I don’t know what to suggest at this point. HUCA.

Like @muppet said - a real mystery as to why it's not working; and sorry the advice didn't yield the desired result.

Hope it comes through closer.
