Success at T-7 for MEL to BNE for 2 this afternoon. Bit surprised given it was showing J1 yesterday but will take the win.
Wouldn't normally upgrade on a 738 but it's our last flight together before bubs is due.

Oh absolutely, we have a trip to Scandinavia at the end of the year in J and F. Might be a bit mad though.

How annoying. When did you find out about the downgrade, and how bad are the seats you've been reassigned? (hopefully you were able to stay seated together at least)

We were in the lounge, then got put on standby for a later flight (I think the next with availability) and was told by the desk that there was no J left to BNE. Back in row 25 but seated together and would rather get home earlier than later, or the next day, in J.

All due to QF619 diverting to AVV due to weather earlier.

Last Wednesday, QF773 MEL PER. Booked around 24 hours prior to departure and upgrade requested. Text came through early morning that they were pleased to confirm.

QF127 7/2. Y Flex to J confirmed at T-27. 1 WP and 1 SG on separate bookings.

Return flight QF30 24/2. Y Saver to J confirmed. SG. The upgrade was requested after OLCI opened and was approved within about an hour.

I've had the request in for months. Cost me 69,700 points per pax.

I (SG) successfully upgraded my brother in law (NB) from Y to J on HND-SYD this morning. I think he was informed at check-in.

I tried to upgrade his domestic connection, but the web site now says there's an error when I enter his booking. I rang up the call centre and they told me that classic rewards upgrade requests need to be made through the travel agent so I gave up.

Quick question, can you put in a points Classic Upgrade Reward request for both PE and J simultaneously? I.e. A business upgrade would be ideal, but i'd also like to be considered for a PE upgrade, if the former doesn't pan out.

If travelling solo and requesting an upgrade as late as at the gate you have to do this.

Emailed the FF team about this yesterday, got a response this morning and points back in my account this afternoon.

Separately success at T-5 for BNE-SYD on Monday 5:20am and T-1 for SYD to BNE tonight at 8pm. CSM was very energetic and offered a bottle of Koonunga to take home.
