Does anyone know if oneworld status factors into upgrade priority? I'm WP, putting in for a points upgrade for my sibling who is AA EXP and wondering if there's any priority over an NB on the same flight?

It's a good question, and one I don't recall seeing before! I don't believe so, unless perhaps as a tie-breaker with other pax who have upgrade requests in. I think there is a way to request upgrades from the AA side on QF flights now, as well, and if possible, this might give them a higher go in the pecking order as an AA EXP, but not really certain. It's all in the dark arts category, this stuff!

Edit to add: I've just seen the AA upgrade request uses PlusGrade, so is most likely the same as using the Bid Now method for QFF members. This means that they are processed last, behind all QFF classic upgrade requests of any pax status, so should be used as a last resort or for those short of points to do the former.
