Qantas voucher to book a Jetstar flight

Hi All

Does anyone know if you can use a Qantas voucher to book a Jetstar flight, Qantas doesn't go to the destination in question (CNS to DPS) but Jetstar does. Sorry for asking here as I can't ring Qantas from where I am in the world and they have no international (+61) number that I could find.

It depends. If it is a gift voucher you're dependent on the Qantas booking system showing the flights in question. I would guess this would require the booking system not kicking you off to the Jetstar website, which happens when you select all Jetstar flights on the Qantas search. Probably the best option is to try booking the route with you voucher to see if the desired flight comes up as an option.

Thanks, that's probably the best (only) option unless someone's done it before. It's a credit voucher and they said I had to ring to book. Trying to do some pre-planning as the voucher is for one person but the trip is for 5 others and need to book the rest straight away!

Credit voucher. You might need to have a Qantas flight in the booking to get it to work.

On a side note, I thought that all vouchers could be redeemed online these days. Do you have a 6 digit booking reference for the voucher? If so, you could try using it in Manage My Booking on the website.

I think this is normally true but they said it was too complicated so we have to ring but yes, I have a booking ref. Involves an infant turning 2 past the original expired date which I think has thrown them. Refund would have been cheaper for Qantas given the work this has involved
