Qantas website down?

Not at the pointy end, but economy across all peak European summer dates (and for me ASP-LHR) all opened up end of July next year. Can't log in of course. 110,000 points not too bad, costs me 24-36,000 points just to be to point of embarkation anyway.

Speedway World Cup in Wroclaw is calling 25-29th July.
Pretty if you want to fly to London in Oct/Nov. Looks like J seats available on QF metal almost every day. Very tempted to cancel my current bookings at that time and rebook using points. Obviously can't with the website down haha
 
I was on the phone to them this morning at about 7.30am when their system went down. Anyone who calls the call centre is having their number taken with the ‘promise‘ of a return call. It’s been six hours now! They must’ve outsourced their IT department as well?
 
I can't log in either.

Was logging into to see what extra Classic Reward seats would be released at midday today and can't even get on. What an epic fail, Qantas!
Had the exact same idea, even thought I would have an early look but couldn't log in from 10:30 AEST

Their IT department has always been outsourced. IBM/Tata(TCS)/Fujitsu.
 
So now I have tried to log in too many times and my account is now locked! It says I have to reset my pin
I was also worried about this happening, so have held off repeatedly trying to login until the system is fixed.
 
Saw 4 J LAX-SYD QF12, next May, for the final leg of our OWA - currently booked 2 + 2 on separate days LAX-HND-SYD.
Called 12.30pm, 45 min wait answered by 'Premium line' (I am QF Bronze.)
All sorted, and now all 4 of us same flights J for the whole trip.
New e-rickets issued 30mins later.
Probably lucky nobody could log in, as I usually see flights disappear while I'm on hold adding to the award

I wonder if anyone at QF is actually trying to fix the website or they are just letting the demand die down and have it resolve itself when less people attempt to login

Had thought early on about calling, but stupidly thought that the phones would melt down worse than their useless website.

Now the hen's teeth seats that briefly appeared have gone.

It appears flight searches is starting to melt down too. I now get the loading bubbles endlessly when I attempt to search for a flight. Sometimes after a refresh the search will go through.

from which city to London?
 
Got through call centre. Told it's additional 4500 points each passenger if they book it for you (even though their site is down lol). Could hardly hear operator.
Told her I would accept points fee as I had no choice, then got disconnected...

Also, not much in the way of business class (I cant find anything and I havent had the issue in the past)
 
So I bit the bullet and phoned. After 20 minutes wait I spoke to Var in Fiji. Told her what I wanted to book, dates flights and business class award seats. I was looking at the website and could see flights but she could only see economy seats for all dates in November/December. I tried other dates in February which I could see when checking but she said she could only see economy award seats. She said she was seeing realtime and the website was not up to date.

Very frustrating and she said that they will be releasing more seats each month. I said that I had been checking for several months and never any business class seats available to a Bronze lowly status person.

Nothing else I could do but hang up and give up!

I think Points Hacks just posted about it, which will probably be driving more traffic to the website still
 
Been on with the call centre for an hour now trying to amend a booking, got through in about 15 min but they are having issues with their system too so they’re keeping me on hold while they contact their technical support.

Not sure which call centre I’m on though..

This, coupled with the time it would take and the risk to existing bookings being impacted is why I won't bother calling.
