Qantas Wine latest offering

This whole episode has been very revealing- and surely embarrassing...🤨🤪

They deserve a good hammering over it - give it to 'em, folks. Make sure whoever you contact knows it's all over social media.
It’s ok I’m just in the mood. When I call I am going to be very nice and they will think what a nice old lady trying to get things right and then as my darling nephew refers to me the wicked witch of the east will appear and then they won’t know what hit them. 😂🤬👿

An update for those following at home. I rang Qantas wine and spoke to Nick (didn't have to wait long).

He asked me to take photos and send them to [email protected]. I said I could do that but I wanted this resolved within 24 hours not 24 days. He said they aim to address all emails within 48 hours which is when I openly laughed. I then asked as a customer service representative that he call or email me back within 24 hours for a resolution.

Please hold - your call is important to us - I'll update when I get a response

Update - yes they've received my email with my photos - again got a young man (Asian and trying so hard to please but just went on and on about how they were going to sort it and he would help me) He tried to escalate it again and there was no one available so they've promised they will get back to me in 2-3 business days. At the end he said thank you for allowing me to help you today - I did reply that he hadn't helped. I'm just about to go out and alcohol will be consumed!!

An update. I received an email to say that they would refund the $99 for one case and didn't ask for any of it to be returned.

I did reply back that I was disappointed that the other box was all the same but haven't had a response. I was sick most of last week so I'm OK with the refund and the rose is OK especially as the cost is now $4.12 a bottle.

now $190 (3% off) or 27,500pts (19% off) before 10% PCP! - sale ends Saturday 15th July

Just received a promotion code offering 5,000 bonus points when you spend $300 for the next 4 days. Not sure if the code is unique, but wonder if it can be stacked with a $50 PCP voucher?

6-pack of Balnaves The Tally cabernet 2018 is $432 after the 10% PCP discount, and comes with 18,000 points + 5,000 bonus = 23,000. Tempting.

Hewitson Truffle Row Carignan Sirah looks interesting. And 12000 pts.
Anyone have experience with this wine?

I had a bottle in a mixed case and happened to open it last week. I enjoyed it - medium body, juicy, something a tad different and food-versatile. I divided the bottle into two and had one half last Friday with pasta with broccoli, garlic, anchovies (lots) and chilli; the other last night with ox-tail stew. Worked well with both IMO.

The second half kept well in a screwcap half-bottle.

I'd say good value at that price with the bonii.

Pity it is a full dozen as not sure I want to put it all on black. Might play it safe and go the Bests Bin 1 Great Western Shiraz 2020 and Taylors heritage Shiraz.

Agree. That's why I usually go mixed cases.

You could always phone and see if they will do you a mixed deal with bonii. In my limited experience of talking to a wine 'advisor', they seem to have a lot of flexibility to cut deals.

Just went to grab a bottle out of a Qantas box I bought about a month ago. Was expecting a Taylor’s St Andrew’s Cab only for it to be the basic Taylor’s Cab….didn’t pay attention when it arrived.

Am I any chance of getting this replaced?

I haven't received a code. Sounds like it is targeted.

I might call a broker and see if they will apply one manually.

Placed an order for 3 cases and started receiving the Auspost tracking emails. It looked like delivery time would be exemplary, with parcels indicated to be at the local delivery centre of Mt Kuringgai, ... but then something went wrong and I am still waiting while my wine goes to QLD.
