Qantas Wine latest offering

Can always use it on whisky. Some of them with the $50 may be decent value compared to Uncle Dans. Otherwise a hotel voucher swap works.

I have a $50 voucher to use before the end of October. I do not drink red wine or beer, but pretty much drink anything else and just looking to use the voucher up. Any suggestions?
Bonus points on a couple of spirits, further 10% off with pc+ certainly makes the vodka great value!

I've spent a decent wack on qantas wine through the wine agent service($10k+)
I have never been happy with the service operators. I don't like the insincere personalities I have met so far. Disorganisation is another regular issue.

Is anyone have with their wine agent? Can you share their name with me please?

I cant help but wonder if this is actually someone at Qantas Wine trying to find out if any of their agents are secretly being helpful and providing good service to their customers so they can be reprimanded or sacked......

*tongue in cheek post :D

I'm pretty sure @JohnM or @Daver6 have one

I've had no issues with Neil Jarvis in the few occasions I've dealt with him, but it's a very transactional relationship and I'm not shopping with QF Wine for their customer service let alone the sincerity of the agent (can't imagine you'll find many in this thread who are)

Have you been dealing with someone on-shore? I find the off-shore folk - who are just QFF agents rather than Wine specialists - are extremely hit and miss.

I tried to get hold of Neil Jarvis, but he was away, so Diedre signed me up. Not terribly impressed - took a couple of calls to get me on her mailing list and I think I've now dropped off after 3-4 months.

I find that emailed offers are very sporadic, but I'm not concerned as I'm generally happy to buy off the website.

They can't be too bad if you're spending that sort of coin with them

Not me. Never dealt with an agent and only purchased via the website. I very rarely buy from QF wines other than to use the various vouchers or the very odd bonus points offer.

Hahaha. This^ is good
I did have a young guy that was happy to steal me away from one of the older lady's a year or two ago. But she must have had him sacked as he is "no longer available"

I found the other thread and saw it wasn't a me problem.

The way I've observed their behaviour, I would speculate they make more than 10% commission on orders.

Edit: Diedre does answer the call a lot of the time, Rooflyer. She seems to be keen to work, unlike the rest.
I also suspect it's a management problem due to the never ending issues and bad attitudes I've come across.

$960 worth of wine for $350: Buy Outstanding Shiraz Dozen | Qantas Wine

And here: Buy Australian Classic Shiraz Cabernet Dozen | Qantas Wine

But what's the catch? Is this a nice case? What are your thoughts?

I'd like to buy a case of twelve bottles without spending more than, say, $250. The above deal would be that if I used up some QFF wine vouchers.

Alternatively, what might be some other cases you'd recommend? Any good bonus points deals? Yes, I've looked but wondering what your thoughts are in this current month.

Well I took a punt on the above so we'll see how happens. Not bad for original $850+ retail of wine 18 bottles for $180 or whatever I paid, with some wine vouchers used up to boot.

Now I'd better go put the lamb on!

Meanwhile, not sure if this was mentioned earlier in this thread, but someone over on Reddit shared this website they'd built with a friend. It tracks some of the latest deals. Not sure how regularly they update it, but I've found it useful: https://wines.reflyable.com.au/

Or grab a free bottle of the Old Bros. Tawny. A nice after dinner drop.
