Sorry Epicure, however my wallet is not paved with gold - nor is my love of Champagne that great or my palate that good:

Wines | Qantas epiQure

5K bonus points is a mere kicker for somebody willing to spend $1,200 (although can they piggyback the $1K spend trigger for an additional case of 6 champagnes - an inferior brand IIRC) :o

However, this option is much more palatable:

(same as OATEK's post above - but it didn't mention the bonus 2K per dozen). I've bought 2 and it shows 4K bonus :D (plus 1,018 "standard" points) - almost a quarter of the price of the initial offer above.

Let's say 5k points is worth $50, and the Taittinger is worth $280 - $300, so you are really getting the Dom for $850, meaning approx $141-$145 a bottle. Lets say $140 if you add a few dollars for the bonus points.

IIRC The usual price at Changi is $187SGD, so $165AUD... But you can get a $30 voucher for nothing at Changi, so it is really $138AUD, and you don't need to buy 6 bottles...

YMMV

Stewarts have Billiecart for $56.00 per bottle . I can earn "some" points by paying with Amex , But I suspect I am ahead bonus almost 7 bottles for the same price as 6......

All I can say is that the recent lack of bonus points has cost sales for Epiqure from me. Last Christmas I bought 8 cases due to bonus offers, this Christmas, however, it seems I won't be buying anything from Epiqure and will mix my own dozens at BWS instead.

Interesting. Dan's have the Wynns for $17.09 a bottle as part of 6. Same vintage too. Don't like it enough to buy a dozen though!

I agree, plus throw in price and bonus offers to the mix. I have spent around $3,600 from online wine orders this financial year to date ( 1 July 13 to 13/12/13) and only $195 of that has been with Epiqure, this doesn't include wine bought in store either. Last year from about August up until Christmas I spent $1,561 with Epiqure.

Don't get excited about the email you may have got today. The only bonus point offers that I could find:

http://www.qantasepiqure.com.au/win...3_V1&utm_medium=body&utm_campaign=buynow-moet

so I bought a case :D (3K bonus points and 863 standard later - for $287.94)

Gave 2 dozen wines Fri & yesterday when visiting clients and received my 2 dozen Wynns today. 6 going home with me tonight, the rest for clients.

Have enough Champagne, beer, wine and soft drink at home for Xmas now.

Bewdy! Thanks for the tip. Shopping tomorrow!

Bought, installed, filled. :) Now those bloody bottles of chardonnay, which I don't drink but keep for visitors, can stop taking up space in the fridge and be banished to the wine fridge, along with the current decent drinking stuff.
