According to my calculations, that dozen only comes out at ~$410; the ad says it should be valued at ~$447.

Epiqure do play pricing games at times, ones that border on being illegal. An example of the was the recent Wirra Wirra Sav Blanc I highlighted when it was introduced, then the price was hiked for a week, now it's on "sale" as the intro price. That's bound to get the ACCCs interest soon if it hasn't already.

The JC at $130 is more than I thought . When I think of JC I still think of 4 quid a bottle in Tesco's (UK). I've put it on the top shelf of my wine fridge which is the do not touch when already pi$$ed shelf :)

Penfold's release... 2,000 bonus points with selected wines (bonus points are not awarded if using a discount code)

Not sure on pricing because the Dan Murphy index is not available until tomorrow ;)

Edit: QF WP you beat me to it...!

hmmmm decisions, decisions...

Whats better value...? A $38.99 saving or 2,000 QFF bonus points (1.9c per point)

What I consider is the value of the 2K bonus points (as part of say a JASA) if looking at the normal J fare cost - I'd think it would be higher than $39.

I'd go with 2K bonus points. But I'm biased ;). YMMV

As soon as I saw it was Penfolds I knew it was going to be popular, so got in just as I was posting. These are for me to drink though, so they'll go home.

Bet EpiQure are happy with the response

Yep same as mine that might be my last mystery case

Mine was the same.

The red half-doz was:
- Wirra Wirra RSW 2012
- WB Black Label 2008
- Voyager Estate Cab Sauv Merlot 2005
- Devil's Lair Cab Sauv 2008
- Parker Terra Rossa First Growth 2006
- Houghton CW Ferguson 2007

Nice that there are some aged wines in the mix, but I'm not sure it's an average of $80/bottle touted.
