Qantas Wine latest offering

I’m the same - missed calls both this and last week from QF Wine. People that don’t leave messages don’t get calls back.
For those who encounter missed or odd delivereies, today (a Saturday)I have just received 3 cases in the usual time frame(being in WA) of about 10 days, all as ordered.

Winery is just outside of Denmark in the Great Southern. Not tried the 2017, but have had previous vintages. A fair value wine with some aging potential. This is their entry level Cabernet and pricing seems reasonable.

I got either 2 or 4 in mixed cases earlier this year. Have had one. It was nice, but not outstanding. Probably at the lighter end of "medium-bodied" but that could also be age (and we drank it with a pretty spicy curry from memory). Decent price so worth a punt I reckon, and cellar for a bit.

Great winery - one of the top MR producers. That price is about average.

Good wine, can be bought at auction for $85-$95

For those caravanning in circles around their state, waiting to break out...plastic mini bottles I presume

Tasting notes (palate) on the QFA site is identical to this on the winery site https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2612/9306/files/2018_Lucindale_Cabernet_Sauvignon.pdf?v=1585014034

I have no idea about this wine, or even the winery. But it might interest someone who has a use for plastic mini wine.

What do we think of this deal?
Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth 2010 for $81 p/b (with my 10% Point Club Plus discount) plus 10k Qantas Points?

I'm tempted after reading the review on Winefront (95+ score):
"The swagger of it. This is a wine of staggering size and impression. It’s a hulk of tannin and dark curranty fruit with dust, mint, black olive and tobacco notes all wedded to the cause. It’s like a steak in a glass. It’s just – just – starting to mellow but the power and glory of it is still abundantly clear. It’s going to be a long, long termer."

It's a good wine. You wont be disappointed. I think the price is fair. Unlikely to get this much cheaper.

But for me, there's better value elsewhere, unless you really need the QFF points.

I would second this, the wine is very good - I picked up a few of these years back from Langtons for $53.60 ($46+16.5%). At that price point I was very happy.
