7.5% is 4.3º. That would give you a sink rate of just over 1,000 fpm...which is the cutoff for a mandatory go around.

5.5% is 3.15º, which is neither here nor there. Marginally steeper, but you'd barely notice.

4.5% is 2.6º, which is less than a normal approach.

I've mixed up % with º. My bad.

As noted elsewhere, QL have announced they are getting rid of the 200s & 300s over the next couple of years. QL have stated they are "...committed to ensuring that Lord Howe Island maintains an air service and...will be working with the community and government on those options over the coming months".

Interesting times ahead for the islanders.
