I would not say they are matching DJ, $75 for BNE to SYD is a big premium to DJ's $55.

Brisbane - Rockhampton

one way from $49.
Thanks oz_mark! Here again is a perfect reason why I use AFF more than any other website.

I simply do not have time to surf all known websites looking for specials so it is handy to see the information posted in these threads. :D

CBR/HBA must be slow

Seems to be an unpublished sale going on for Easter/Good Friday weekend.

Booked BNE-SYD for $75 on Easter Friday.

Sale prices for later in the year are also listed.
Checked out Cairns/Brisbane, also showing Jetstar
flights with QF Codeshare Flight No's. Prices for these
2 are not even close with JQ being more expensive
and vice versa.

i am super pissed - booked Mel-syd return today at lunchtime and had to do the last flights up and back to get the fares down to $109 each way - now there are earlier flights available and for $79 each way - should i cancel and get a $218 voucher and use for more expensive flights later online - its around $70 different so that almost an extra flight at these prices - anyone have experience using credit vouchers online, major issues etc?

These cheap seats aren’t on their fares page though, is it an error? Or a future sale?
I suspect an error as it everywhere as early as this weekend, looks like the old after 7pm fare that used to be around. They dont have a tendancy to dump fares close to travel with below the line stuff like JQ and DJ do occasionally thats why I say an error..a bit like those almost free First class fares MH did a while ago..and honored them..get in quick before they find out I say:D

I'm glad I've already booked as the O class fares seem to have disappeared now.

Now do we need to have a PM mailing chain/group for these sort of deals in the future, aka the trick it threads on flyertalk?

Yep most definately!

I tend to PM "familiar members" when a "deal" or similar comes up

As I said some things are best kept private via PM and only shared with trusted members on here.

I am sure a few QF staff are subscribed to this thread and tipped off the appropriate people.

Was wondering how you would get the message out, if not on the forum!

Having said that, I have seen several cheapish fares bob up on Qantas for travel only a week or so out in the past.

And I picked tonight to stay off the internet!

Still trying to get a decent fare BNE-SYD return for April 15-17 but the best on QF website is $300 () and DJ website is $218 + $24 luggage (with $50 cashback from Amex).
