Qatar Airways Lounge in Singapore T1

Just checking our eligibility for this lounge at Changi if I may please @AIRwin

As we are flying J QF connecting to Bangkok Airways J and vice versa, we should be able to enter?

You won’t be eligible transiting to Bangkok Airways but will be eligible before your QF J flight on the return.

Nasi Lemak this evening at QR SIN J.

1000040949.jpg

When I arrived, the staff member at reception warned there was a "limited a la carte menu today due to an influx of travellers" but the menu looked exactly the same as usual, and there were max 10 people in the lounge... Not sure what that was about.

I also sacrificed myself and tried Linda's Nasi Lemak at QF SIN F for educational purposes.

The QR version felt much fancier, but the sambal had less kick than the QF version, and I'm a sucker for rendang over otak otak...

Amazing - based on your rose photo I know what table you were at, and I'm pretty sure I watched yours & your partner's mains come out while I was waiting for my nasi lemak! I was keeping a close eye on the clock and had to leave quite quickly to make QF2

I was sitting in the corner of the dining area closest to the bathrooms.

Don't plan on getting hot food after 7pm and before 11pm.

Currently in the QR lounge now, having a Singapore Sling. I was informed on entry approx. 8:20pm there is no a la carte menu available at that time. No hot food, only the cold buffet.

After further enquires of the staff, was able to discern that the hot food (and menu) will again become available around 11:30pm. Seems catering is airport based and food is pre prepared and delivered to the lounge 3 hours prior to scheduled flights.

Last Saturday I did arrive here shortly after 6:30pm and while there was some issue with food availability, was able to get some of their very nice lamb chops.

I just left the QF F Lounge - there is HEAPS of space over there!

Yes, found that on a previous visit and was politely told by staff that their priority is QR’s own flights and that at times between those flights there will be reduced service and offerings.
I think for memory one flight departed around 1930 and the next was 0200 so would be a 4hr window of reduced service

I left QF first approx. 8pm after trying the rather poor nasi lemak.

In the EK lounge and their 9pm flight has boarded and there is no hot food until "9:40pm" prior to their 00:50 flight to DXB (unless you are into "Cream of Green Peas" soup).

All out of the cashew satays as well? 🤓 🤢

Ah what a pity there isn't a secret nod to recognise an AFF'er @sudoer
You were over my right shoulder and it would have been lovely to say hello!

Any recent reviews on breakfast offerings.. I booked an 11am MH J reward to give it a try.

Think jrfsp at #194 is the last morning entry.

I can only assume QR do not want to feed OW patrons @serfty
We arrived yesterday at 6 pm and greeted same as @sudoer "with limited menu choices" etc.
It was a lovely 90 minutes respite in transit though.

Qatar Airlines have added retimed the 9pm flight (QR947) to 6:45pm so the Lounge is currently opening ~3:30pm.

The oneworld web site has not yet been updated and still shows a 6pm opening.
I note from October 27, QR947 moves back to an 8:25pm departure (from 6:45pm) - I suspect the lounge opening time will revert to after 5pm.

My QF1 BP could not scan at the QR lounge in early October. I wonder if this is because the BP was for Sydney all the way through to London? I had no issues scanning in at the QF lounge though.

The staff were very friendly and agreed that I should have access. They ended up collecting my e-ticket number, which also couldn’t be entered on their system for an automatic check.

Has anyone had this issue before? It wasn’t a problem for me as the staff let me in anyway.
