Just when you thought your Virgin status might not be worth much these days, along comes QR with a like for like status match! That means anyone with VA Platinum would receive QR Platinum which means Oneworld Emerald which means Salt and Pepper Squid (among other benefits) :)

Some key points:
- This offer is applicable to top tier members of Emirates, Etihad, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Turkish Airlines, and Virgin Australia.
- Campaign Period: 14 May 2020 – 20 May 2020.

Our borders may not be open for a while yet, but this should offer some Oneworld status for at least sometime next year.

2 days left folks. Get in quick smart.

Great offer and the application process seemed straightforward
Whether I'll actually get to use it internationally or not remains to be seen
300 Qpoints to renew QR Platinum for another year too

Very interesting offer indeed. Good luck to anyone that can take advantage of it.

I do wonder if the requirement to fly at least 4 QR sectors (or earn 20% of Qpoints on Qatar flights) is being waived for anyone renewing status at 50% of the normal rate via this promo? The offer terms & conditions just state:

Earn the required Qpoints based on the above table during your complimentary period to keep your Privilege Club tier status for another 12 months.

I notice that South African Airways is another eligible airline for this match. Makes sense.

They ask for copy of two last statements.
I don't keep them.
Is there a place to find them on Velocity website

I was looking for the same thing. Couldn't find them either

I've just taken a screenshot of my activity page on the website, but I do also have the monthly 'statement' emails, but they don't say much. Last 'statement' email I got was in March, there was no April or May ones (They seem to arrive on the 12th of the month for me) - I guess on account of the program essentially being suspended.

Hopefully those will satisfy what they need. Doesn't show much 'activity' in the last 2 months...

I couldn't find a statement either.
I am interested in this as well.

On the Velocity website i can see "My Activity" but no way to download it

I could print the screen to a pdf but it is very generic and doesn't show your account details

Additional to the above, I don't think I've actually received emails from velocity for my statements for the last two months either, and even if I did they'd just have the bonus SCs since the lockdown. I know it's a boilerplate requirement across status matches and challenges generally, but still a bit weird considering everything.

Also, I'm hopeful there's a waiver on the sector requirements given that the typical "go to" to meet the challenge (a J fare through Doha to the U.S or Europe) may be off the cards for a while still.

I'm linking the Qcalculator here for everyone's reference as it shows the amounts of points for any flight pretty easily - even those through partners. So if you're particularly keen and QR waive the sector/QR flight requirement, you could earn the points through QA domestic flights.

EDIT:
'Accrual on Qantas domestic flights are only eligible when they are in conjunction with an international flight marketed by either Qantas or Qatar Airways on the same ticket.'

Anyone else finding the links in the email about this are sending you to the homepage of the Qatar Maldives site? I had to copy the URL in the email manually and paste to get it to work.

They usually send monthly statements by email. I rarely read them as they are mostly marketing cough
I just had a look at the "Statement" email i got most recently which was March and its just advertising

I would just take a screenshot/s of the "Transaction Activity" page on the Velocity website. i.e. this one (but with at least 2 months of activity showing):

AFAIK, the purpose of including this is so Qatar can see you didn't just get a status match from another program to Velocity (i.e. that you're "genuine").

Morning Guys just send it my Velocity last 2 months statement with Status extension email received from Velocity along with my Velocity Platinum membership card & Qatar membership # - see what answer I get will update you once receive response - Figures crossed
