Qatar Al Moujan lounge access for One World Emerald members?

Which class are you travelling in? OWE in whY normally gets the sub-standard “1st Lounge” (but as above, that is currently closed so you should at least get the Al Mourjan lounge (normally reserved for J class PAX).

I’m travelling in economy with emerald. Will see how I go and report back!

Not currently because of Covid. They are organising a new premium lounge for OWE but it isn't operational yet so AM is extremely busy with OWE as well as usual J passengers.

Flew QR economy last week as OWE and got accepted to Al Mourjan. So all good.

If you want to come in and out of the lounge several times during a long layover, make sure they stamp your economy boarding pass at the beginning.

I landed in Doha yesterday for a 9 hr lay over. On a J ticket to SFO but can't get into the Al Safwa First Class lounge. Was sent to the Business Class lounge instead. My flight to SFO was 8am. I went to get have a shower at 6am and there were 10 people in front of me in the queue. Just managed to get a shower and rushed to the gate.

No. I had a nap in one of the cubicles at the quiet area, has breakfast and a phone call before going to take a shower. Waited for 30 min before I can get one.

I have recently purchased a business class lite fare with Qatar which ordinarily wouldn’t permit access to the Al Mourjan lounge in Doha. However I’m a One World Emerald member so does anyone know if I can still get access to the lounge with this status, or have Qatar airways blocked all FFs unless you have a higher fare level or pay for lounge access?

I have read this thread and am still not sure if anyone has tested the theory that QW Emerald trumps the QR J Lite fare that does not include lounge access?

We probably won‘t know until they reopen the “First Class” lounge for relegated OWEs?

I flew on an economy ticket which I then upgraded to business class using QCredits. I was granted access to the Safeway (not Al Safwa) Lounge based on my QR Platinum status.

If so can you confirm if it had alacarte dining. Post on that ET article that it doesn't.

I call the Al Safwa lounge the Safeway lounge. This is the best and most exclusive QR lounge in Hamad Int’l accessible to QR Platinums travelling on QR metal. I also call Akbar Al Baker (the Head of QR), Admiral Akbar. Small things amuse small minds.

The Safeway lounge has a striking design with very tall vertical spaces above and a minimalistic modern Arabic feel. Nice lounge, nice spa and shower facilities, limited runway views. Longest elevator to entrance from podium level. I was present during breakfast hours and it was a la carte. Pretty average meals and coffee though.

I am also WP with QF so went to look at the Platinum and Gold lounges for OW members just to see what they were like and couldn't even get up the escalators as there was a line up of estimated 100 people just waiting to get in as the OW lounges were full
