In the middle of booking 7 QFF award flights. Mixture of J & F. (2 bags each allowed)
But, Qatar only release Y seats for IST-DOH leg.

Does anyone know if / how I can add extra bag/s to a Y award booking flying Qatar?

My family recently flew to sabiha gökçen (SAW) due to this problem. We got 4 seats in j to and from DOH. It was a bit further out than IST but there is a good shuttle bus to taksim or kadiköy. The qr flight was a pleasent experience despite being an A320. The contract lounge at SAW however is quite average.

I dont mind SAW or IST, but have never come across any award J seats going to DOH. (except on RJ going via AMM - and already have 2 stopovers at AMM, not wanting a 3rd)
Looking to book this flight next monday.

If its a less than 24 hour stopover on QR they will only on forward luggage to next destination too, i know I found that out last month in DOH, but we always travel with change of clothes and toiletries in carry on anyway.

Longer than 24 hours.
Have 6 days in Turkey, then the Y flight to DOH, staying 30 hours, then flying QR F to ABU.
Checked again today, 3 flights per day IST/SAW to DOH, but only Y avail for award booking.
It will be towards the end of our trip, so I know we will have at least 3 bags to check in.
Happy to pay if I have too, just usually it is more expensive to do at the airport, but I don't know how to add it to the booking. Even then I would be paying Qantas not QR for the extra bag/s
