In reading this Australian article am I right in thinking they are going to re config the first 12 A380 in MNL, creating an extra 35 seats, by a] a reduction in J seating b] increased Y class seating - less pitch, c] withdrawal of F class on all aircraft all routes? Would be surprised with latter as Joyce has stated on a number of occasions that F will stay on LHR via SIN and SYD/LAX and MEL/LAX.

The current A380's will keep F, or were meant to. It's only the later A380 deliveries that will be changed to remove F. Unless the plan has changed.

I have my doubts that the non ER's will get the sig interior...

6 ERs and 3 non-ERs are staying (longer-term) so there should be 3 non-ERs getting the new interior. Depending on when they other non-ERs are scheduled to go will determine whether they'll get the sig interior.

As I expected, they can only squeeze 14 MkII Skybeds into Zone A.

Their 388 Pitch is 80", I guess it will be similar, perhaps a little less.

I see that the row 58HJK exit seats are not there, neither are 59HJK. Maybe there's some crew rest provisioning.

Do you have a link / pic / seatmap?

I'm a bit confused - so they're adjusting seating on the existing 380s (but retaining 4 class), and have yet another seatmap for the later-build 380s (with no F - 3 class only)?

Yep,it's my understanding that QF has two more A380's equipped with F seats to be delivered, they are VH-OQK and OQL,that will mean they have 12 of the 20 ordered, and I believe that the last 8 of the 20 will be delivered without the F seats.
At least that is my understanding of the plan,I may be wrong of course.
Cheers

Looks like I was not too far wrong. ;)
The 744 plans are set: Hmmm ... this increase is in relation to the "Pacific Configuration" [307: 14P66J40PY187Y], not the "Kangaroo" [351: 14P52J32PY255Y].

I would imagine they could fit 14 MkII Skybeds in Zone A.

The MKI have a 60" pitch, the MKII have 80".

This may cause some issues with the Upper deck due to the exits, if continuing to contain Skybeds, they would lose at least 4 seats, probably 8 from the current 24.

Assume 8, so that's 30 (14+16) , leaving 28 in Zone B at 4 rows of 7. They could reduce the size of or eliminate the area currently used for the First Galley to get the additional 120" or so required.
