Driving past this morning the usual JQ 320 on the ground but nearby what i'm sure was a 763 with QF tail (old roo).

It was parked still near "the shed" (terminal), not near the maintenance hanger. Been a series of 744s as they go through having new fitout, but they're usually at the hangers unless they're about to head out for test flights etc, but this was definately single deck 2 engine and bigger than the 320 and looked like the 763 not 330 (no winglets that I could see).

Any ideas?

OGE or OGF I suspect.

Which are going? Wonder why they would park it at AVV and not just fly straight out of SYD/MEL? I guess they could be stripping the interior for spares.....

Short term storage or spares I suppose. Its not OGE or OGF on subsequent investigations, both ares in the US in storage pending freighter conversion, OGO and OGU are AWOL

Right in front of the JQ terminal would seem a funny place to "store" the a/c, that's all.

Probably being used by AJ as his private jet to tell all the AVV mx workers they're sacked!

yep, was gone in the afternoon. Didnt realise it'd been there quite so long (presumably "hidden" in the hangers) and I saw it just before it flew out to re-enter service.
