Does anyone know how QF93/94 MEL-LAX-MEL will be affected by the QF9/10 retiming? As it stands, QF10 arrives in MEL early in the morning to form the QF93, and the arriving QF94 forms the QF9 later in the afternoon. With the retiming, I'm going to assume that the QF10 will turn around following its evening arrival as the QF9, with 2 hours on the ground in MEL (otherwise, any benefit of increased aircraft utilisation would be negated).
But where does that leave QF93/94? With the current schedules, the time between QF94 arriving and QF93 departing is just 50 minutes to 1 hour depending on the day. But if QF94 left earlier or QF93 arrived later that would be cutting an already tight connection time to QF107/108 even finer.
Any ideas as to what Qantas will do? I don't see a 50 minute turnover time for the A380 working.
