Or schedule another trip, which may or may not be reported on. There back OT.

Its nice not to have to dig out the BP to enter the lounge.
Especially when you don't have a BP for that day 8)

Well that non-benefit is no help. Airport is an hour away in traffic.
Same for moi, approx 70km on the other side of the Melbourne CBD. (My liver is Grateful  )

Actually, I could write a TR about how I get from my home to Tullamarine...

Lindsay,

Apologies for hijacking your Trip Report thread, back to normal now.

Thank you for apologising, serfty (can you tell that I said that genuinely, slinging a sideways withering look at Kiwi Flyer and NM who have yet to apologise??). Doing a serious TR thread here and some of the world-famous OffT posters come along....we all know what happens next :

:x  (there, I feel better now)

...why can't I just have one TR not marred by hijackers

I'll have to just post it over at FT instead (that'll rid me of this rabble)  ...

   sorry mate

You will now be returned to your usual programming ...

Lindsay,

Sorry to hijack this thread, but the Qantas checkin agents appear to have access to most of your FF details - including date of birth.

I was recently at an Australian airport flying domestically. They CSA says "Mal, Were you born XX xx_ xx_X". I said Yes.

He then said, "Qantas have decided to upgrade to you to Business." (or words to that affect).

I said thanks, and collected my J boarding pass.

So yes, I think the CSA's know more about us than they let on! No idea why he was questioning my age, then again, I do look a few years older than I am!!

Sorry Lindsay - I tried and failed to get us back OT on this thread.

I do appreciate your TRs, especially when they happen to coincide with a long flight when I can read them at my leisure.

There is an easy solution Lindsay.

Go back to your OP, click edit, and change the thread heading to "Travel Report marred by hijackers", click submit. Then edit all your posts to remove the travel report.

When travel report is complete and only complete create a new thread titled "QF across Australia: BNE/PER/BME/PER/KGI/PER/ADL/SYD/BNE" and post your wonderful trip report. That way we will be able to read it without all these interruptions.

Very interesting and intriguing solution JohnK, I like your thinking  :D ....of course, I could always ask admin to delete the offending threads, but he's not available until Monday.

No, I think the offenders have learned their lesson and can be counted on to not hijack another of my TR threads :P . I don't mind what they do on their own threads, or the OffT thread (which I put there for that purpose - they can express themselves as much as they want there).

I suppose sometimes they have to learn when to be serious and when to be OffT.

Of course, having said that, I have to similarly watch myself...you know, people in glass houses should be careful.

I didn't get a chance to do much last night (just inserted some links into the existing posts)

Anyway it was just a thought Lindsay.

Look forward to the rest of the travel report. :D

Have updated my Sunday post on the previous page - didn't get a lot of time this weekend to complete the TR.

Golly, I can't believe it's been a year since I last updated this TR. I saw this flash as a Featured Trip Report, so thanks admin

With sleepless hours just around the corner (5 weeks), I'd say I'm half a chance to finish it soon...
