I was only able to get a seat because of the advice in this thread and I wanted to thank all the contributors for the help.

Agree. I think a few of us would have missed out if it wasn't for others here. It looks like there was some kind of server-side caching issue where the QF site didn't turn over for some users at midday.

Thanks @ajd and @serfty and others for sharing the direct link for those who couldn't see the tile when it went live.

I don't think this has been announced yet, but I would assume it will be flown down from BNE on Thursday.

The departure on 22 July will not be your standard flight to LAX. There are a few surprises in store.

Are you referring to the flyovers of various parts of Sydney and HARS, or is there something else as well?

I was busy at lunchtime and missed out :(.
I'll have to live vicariously through all you AFFers.

Even when the aircraft is to be decommissioned?

Good question. We know the plane will go on to fly other 1-hour specials. And there's always the change the plane could be pressed into service for an emergency. (If it is 'law' not to remove the card, you'd want to see 'unless the aircraft is being decommissioned' written into the law!)

When the 767 had its final flight pax were told they could take them. So I guess only the CBR pax may have that opportunity.
