QF First Rewards Availability Between SYD & LAX

I can't find anything in J or F for East Coast USA in May next year. On a side note have Cathay stopped releasing awards to QF? Nothing even in Y for next 11 months.

I'm returning on Qantas in Business class in August LAX-SYD. Wonder if my wife would appreciate if I left her and the toddler in business whilst I moved up into First 😂

This thread shows consistent availability.
Its not as if F seats will sit there for weeks once released......

Even AA are releasing multiple F and J on the LAX route

I monitor it pretty much every day - availability is much less these days versus maybe a month or two ago 🤷

In May/June you could very easily book a return flight, now the return legs are quite hard to find and the outbounds are also drying up.

AA availability was really good a few weeks ago, not so much now. Trust me. I'm sure Q is close to blocking me for how many times I use the multicity planner...

I feel the same :(

Nope. Look again. Just booked for 2024.
Jee yeah I'm not looking at 2024, I don't know what I'm doing every 1-2 months nonetheless next year. What months did you book, out of interest? I ain't about organising flights half a year away from today, unfortunately. My comment pertains to flights this year - availability was really good a couple of months ago.

(Just looking at early 2024 myself now too - availability still isn't the same as what it was 2-3 months ago - I don't count these as a legitimate option and I think that's probably fair... Only wide-availability in later 2024 which is way too far away for me to be realistic)

Does QF release last minute F awards. I see a few dates in the next few weeks with F9 A7 (only 3 seats occupied in seat map on EF). will this translate to last minute award release?

In my (completely anecdotal) experience I've never seen last minute (a few days out, atleast) F, only J.

There's literally examples in this thread...
SYD-LAX QF11 F
available Apr 18 to Fly April 25
available May 4 to fly May 12
available May 15 to fly May 19
etc

In my experience of searching it though I've never seen them, or at least infrequently as a ratio to next day J, and especially over the last few weeks.

But yes... I'll be much more careful with my words.
