QF First Rewards Availability Between SYD & LAX

pre-covid, I used to see close in F seats open from time to time.

And of course, Platinum nd above can request release that may or my not be granted. On a flight showing A9 I've always been granted the request.

Maybe slightly off topic given this is about F but a huge, huge drop of availability from BNE, SYD and MEL to LAX in J toward the end of this year just happened.
good one
I grabbed a speculative SYD-MEL-LAX, LAX-SYD for Feb/March

Is it just me or does anyone else get really annoyed that Point Hacks instantly puts out an alert telling everyone about these seats on social media (Facebook, Instagram etc).....considering they own AFF and seem to 'borrow' lots of their content from the shared knowledge in the forums anyway....you would think they'd allow those 'in the know' a bit of time to book first before just alerting all the lazy people.

That is why nothing good is hardly ever posted on AFF now as it hits the blogs almost immediately!

and if AA J is palatable you "may" see some Feb availability searching say SYD-SEA or SYD-PHX, which takes you thru LAX.....if you're willing to ditch that second leg LAX-??? (HLO or collect and keep bags LAX, I think you need to collect at LAX anyway)
