QF lounge Changes - New ADL Dom J, merged AKL lounges, Upgrades to ROK & PHE Lounge

Considering BNE ditched its theme I doubt ADL will get one.

I considered a Haigh's theme but they're too class---expensive for QF and would conflict with the Lindt balls :p

re BNE losing the Cantina.. yes it's interesting that happened, yet Spice Bar did return to MEL so it's hard to know what they might decide to do in ADL (if anything).

The ADL QP footprint is fairly large but I reckon dividing it a la MEL/SYD would not be great.. I'm just unsure where else they could go around the QF gates in ADL. It will be interesting to see how they do this.

(personally I always thought the Mexican theme in BNE was odd... but maybe that is a.. ahem... "Mexican" (ie southerner) attitude.)

I asked the staff at the ADL QP tonight what they knew about it and it was about as much as AFF. The staff only found out about the redevelopment plan yesterday, they said.

Well it's potentially market sensitive information so QF would have limited who knew of their plans before the public announcement. Even now it's announced, more detailed plans could change so only those who need to know probably know. Plus QF can at a later date announce more detail as to what it will be like to generate more publicity.
 
Any further updates as to when we might see the business lounge in Adl open? All I can gleam from the August press release is the vague statement that redevelopment will begin 2nd 1/2 2023.
