Apologies if this has been covered in another thread, but I can’t seem to find an answer to this anywhere…I’ve got a return trip to USA/Canada booked with the first inbound segment departing from YYZ connecting to QF22 at DFW back to MEL on a QF marketed (QF4622) flight operated by Envoy Air as American Eagle for American (talk about confusing!)

Will I earn QF status credits on this flight much like on QF marketed EK flights? I wasn’t sure because it’s not operated by oneworld metal?

Yes you will earn QF SC. Envoy Air operated AA flights are considered the same as AA mainline, but in this case it's not relevant since the QF code is what matters.

Envoy Air is a contract operator for American Airlines/American Eagle in the same way that Eastern Australia Airlines, National Jet Systems, etc are contract operators for Qantas/QantasLink . The operator information is provided for legal compliance but otherwise has no impact on you, as long as it's marketed under an AA or QF flight code, you get the status credits associated with the code under which the flight was sold.

Envoy Air is actually wholly-owned by American Airlines, in the same way that Eastern Australia Airlines is wholly owned by Qantas. The former used to be called simply American Eagle Airlines, but they changed the name in order to use American Eagle as a brand ( that could be served by various operators) rather than an airline's legal name, in the same way that QantasLink is a brand with several operators.
