Would this be QF's longest route now?
Yes, both in terms of time and distance.
A few have noted the planned block times for the new services.
QF7 SYD-DFW 15:25, QF8 DFW-BNE 16:00, then a standard 1:35 blocktime on BNE-SYD.
To compare, QF93 MEL-LAX is scheduled at 14:10, whilst QF94 LAX-MEL is currently 15:20 on the 747.
Will QF load additional codeshare options into the GDS to cities such as YYZ based on QF times around DFW?
As part of this announcement, we are adding several new codeshare destinations across AA's network, both ex LAX and ex DFW.
Specifically, the new destinations ex DFW are:
- CLE – Cleveland
- DCA - Washington DC / Reagan National
- LGA - La Guardia, New York
- MCI - Kansas City
- SAT - San Antonio
- CUN – Cancun
- GDL – Guadalajara
- MEX - Mexico City
This will take our total of codeshare destinations ex DFW to 28. Beyond this list, AA certainly has a very strong network offering at DFW, providing a broad range of connectivity options for the new service.
In relation to other destinations and routes, we are working on further opportunities to grow our relationship with AA, so watch this space.
