I want OOL-BNE

Sent from the Throne

Flew BNE-OOL several times back in the TAA/Australian days on the B727. It was a late evening (around 9pm) flight, perhaps it was a positioning flight. It took about 15 minutes from memory and it flew so low that they kept the front door open to catch the evening breeze ;)

Anyway, will be interesting to see QF back at OOL. It will suit me just fine, hoping for at least 3 MEL services a day.

Lol looks like an old 747sp they used for the pic

I'm too poor to own a signature

Maybe they might also do a OOL to CNS on J*

I know I am off topic.

But I had to say it for our FNQ cousins

Now the key is people (in particular QF FF) actually using it and not complaining about the price. You got what you wanted, now you have to support it by actually booking

They already do as part of international but you can fly it as a domestic sector (or did they scrub it)

They already do. :)

Cheers for that!

If QF aren't price competitive with VA then of course there's an obvious choice there (barring awards, possibly). But that's what I mean by QF trying to get back into OOL, making a decent effort of it and making sure that it's not just some posture experiment (or deliberately trying to make it look like a failure so they can have a good reason not to go back).

So by the use of this a/c it will be mainline operating the flights it seems.

It'd be even better if 734s aren't operating the route later (though, saying that, if OOL gets majority new aircraft on it, then the BNE-MEL pax will have a good reason to complain bitterly about getting frequently stuck on the 734s).
