QF12 is presently sitting on the tarmac in Brisbane, diverted for more fuel.

im sitting on it. Happy days after we took off 13 hours late from LAX.

An update. We're still sitting here. The A380 has suffered an emergency lighting fault and we can't leave.

Which plane is it? & any idea why the delay out of LAX?

I imagine you are all exhausted at this stage, especially those in Y. And of course the FAs. Very long work day for them & needing to stay pleasant & attentive, with a no doubt ever more restless group of passengers! Or did they swap over to a new crew in BNE?

Keep us posted?

Original aircraft substituted 2 days ago because of a fuel leak, so incoming flight into lax late, flow on for crew rest hours.

No new crew in Brisbane.

Captain just announced they have found the problem and will be fixed shortly.

i feel sorry for the poor buggers who have connecting flights back to Brisbane, only 5 people with carry on allowed to get off.

lucky I'm sitting in business otherwise I would have cut my wrists by now.

OQD, the hot spare LW and I got to know well two weeks ago is the bird.

Those that did the QF81/82 farewell watched her depart from the SYD F Lounge on Saturday after nearly a 24 hour delay out of SYD ( as QF11) . Seems to be a flight that was never ment to happen , with all the delays.

Just announced, QF12 is now cancelled in Brisbane with the captain saying the plane is not fit to fly.

I was just looking at it on the Flightradar24 App on my I-Pad. I feels for ya....

We have to walk across the tarmac as not at the terminal building.

So immigration & customs & quarantine are going to be fun. Once all the bags are offloaded!

Can see a late night coming up for everyone!

They wouldn't have a lot of staff on duty at that time of night as only a few international 737s land at that time. Might be a bit of a queue.

Sorry my mistake I under the impression that the flight was finally cancelled at about 9pm a good hour and a half after those flights scheduled to arrive.

To round this off, they have got all Sydney bound passengers onto to QF8 this morning, so back at the airport now.

QF8 has just arrived. I can't be bothered ( i cant even believe i cant be bothered) to walk to the lounge, just sitting at the gate enjoying the pre dawn action outside.
