QFF Advisory Team (Insights Crew)

A few months back I was invited to be in the QFF Advisory Team and have been regularly receiving surveys to perform. An excerpt from the email which I received prior to being accepted explaining the benefits is below.

At the time I didn't read it clearly as I was OS at the time so when a few surveys come through I did them expecting points (like Red Planet) but nothing come through. So I've been ignoring them ever since (I've received around 20 in the past few months).

So just reviewing those benefits perhaps I'm wrong and there is something in it, but it isn't clear. So I'd be interested to here other peoples experience with QFF Advisory Team (Insights crew) as to how the points allocation works.

Not sure why I didn't receive any points for my first survey's though.



How it works - Members who are successful will be contacted via email.

• On qualification, we’ll email you a link, simply sign in and learn about our products and services.
• We’ll need you to log-in twice a week for approximately 5-10 minutes each time for you complete the challenges and quizzes you’ll earn bonus points
• The experience involves weekly emails (for up to 4 weeks)
• You’ll be rewarded with Qantas Points when you:
  • Answer quizzes
  • Complete challenges
  • Provide feedback via short surveys
  • There’ll also be bonus points if you participate for at least 4 weeks.

The number of points you earn is based on the number of quizzes, challenges and tasks that you complete. Qantas Points will be credited to your account five weeks after you begin.

Also, I have started going back into my email and doing the surveys. They seem to have time limits associated with when the survey will close within a few days - it allowed me to continue and do the survey weeks after closure. i'm not sure what the result would be.

I've done them all now except the first few that it errors me that I have already done it.

Will post back how I went.

Also, before I posted I did go looking on this site for the question I asked but couldn't find any but decided to have another look (after my post) and found a thread from this site here. That gave me some info (possibly gets 1k points for 4 very short surveys per month). Not sure if it is still relevant.

Wow. Mrs Pineapple does all sorts of surveys that QFF sends through, and gets doodley squat in return. The last one, day before yesterday, demanded a response within 36 hours. Possibly she is a member of a ‘Sucker born every minute’ team.

Just been requested to complete my first survey in many, many months.

Two parts:

1st part all sorts of questions on opinion of the 737-Max

2nd part mostly around IFE options for trans-Tasman.

I also just did the survey on the 737-Max. I thought was interesting that QF is seeking punters' input on perceptions of its safety. The whole survey was interesting actually, including test-driving a few marketing angles they could use to convince reluctant passengers that it would be a safe plane to fly on. (Personally I'd rather QF acquire A320 family jets but most pax probably don't know or don't care. The 737-Max and MCAS are yesterday's news)

The second half of my survey asked about IFE options on flights to Asia.

Didn't get a point, dropped them emails without success. Wrote it off and won't bother participating again. Not sure how many others have had that experience.

How do I get on to this survey mailing list ?

I'd love to give QF my opinion.

(I love to give everybody my opinion, but that's another story !)
