QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

I made my selection on the 30th and they haven't credited yet. My membership year ended yesterday and I had held out until 11pm on the 30th to select the bonus, hoping it would not credit the next day (like most others have experienced) and go towards the next year's total. My status credits from last year have already been marked as expired, so I wonder if Qantas has actually done something in our favour here? Looks like they might not have processed any requests from the last two days yet, which might be an indication they were holding it over to the next month (maybe worried about another bad headline this week? ) ... or there were so many people holding off to the last day that it created a massive backlog or crashed the processing!

Same boat, but I'm pretty certain from earlier posts in this thread there's nothing going to be in our favour tbh. Still, we remain to be nicely surprised I guess.

Month end processing still appears to be screwed up.. eg my nominated Plat was dropped to Gold (should have stayed Plat) and my account says while the SC's expired, I still have 0 days to go in my membership year - expiring 31 Aug. That could be a GMT type issue, but anyway we know FF accounts take a few days to sometimes settle down at membership anniversaries as everything rolls over and processes run.

Anyway, I expect 75 to credit sometime, but to apply to last year not this new one and LT status. Anything more is a double bonus imo.

I made my selection of SC's on 28 August and there is no issue of anniversary for me but still nothing has credited. I hope this is not yet another issue that means we have to start chasing QF to get them to honour their offer. As well as the most complained about company it probably takes the award for being least efficient with its dealings with its "valued customers" ?

So this is what happened ... even though my status credits were wiped off from last year this morning, they credited the 75 SCs late this afternoon, but then expired them straight away. I guess many of us expected it to happen, but it's still pretty poor form. It really rips off everyone who's year ends in August, as we all had made sure to earn enough SCs for the year and they dropped this in at the last minute, but everyone else who's year ends up anytime until July next year can get the benefit of this bonus, and can re-plan further ahead.

I'm already LTG ... and LTWP is never going to happen, so it's a waste. I'm going to call them and see what I can get them to do. Especially considering they dropped the re-qual for WP to 960 SCs for this year, after I'd already gone past the 1200, so it's really the second slap in the face.

Because I was hoping the above wouldn't happen. The SCs (if credited to the next year) are much more useful to me than $100 worth of points.

I among many others confirmed the activity date was the date you made the selection, not the date they were awarded. That was a huge gamble to think it would be different for you.

They offer points as an altyernate to SCs. I am in the same boat as LTG and not going to get to LTP, so I opted for the points instead of the SCs as SCs are useless to me.

I hadn’t read any of this thread at the time I made the selection, the first time I saw it was this morning, so no need for a “told you so”.
