QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

QANTAS offered me 1000 points or 30 status credits as a Thank you for flying with them. I didn't read to the end of the email and when I came back to claim them at the weekend, the offer had expired. So much for a thank you! They've actually got me more cross than if they hadn't pretended to care.

Yea I though the time window to claim the prize was too small. Sorry this happened to you.

I never got an email, and only became aware from discussion on here, happily before the deadline.

Wonder if anyone has tried contacting QF about it. Saw someone on Reddit mentioning they unreversed the expired credit.
I doubt that… (but not that you saw it on Reddit)
I may need to walk back my remark here… I’m seeing a number of folks on one of the Fb QF WP groups saying they have been able to get QFF to make their gifted SCs count towards their new membership year, starting Sep 2023.

I don’t yet have full line of sight to WP requalification for 2023-24, and may do the same myself.

Cheers,
Matt.

Maybe they had a directive from above to keep people happy with all the negative press. Will get my other half to pop in a request and see if they provide it. Maybe she'll be interested in a NZ status run weekend if she's close enough to gold.

I called QFF and asked for reinstating the 75SC into Sep (my new membership is from 1/9). The lady took my details and promised to call me back. About 30 mins later, she called to inform that she has good the approval to reinstate.
if you anniversary is 31/8, most likely you will be able to get the same.

My bonus status credits expired as soon as they landed in my account due to my membership renewal date. I sent an email asking for this to be reversed and they did it overnight! Worth chasing if anyone is in the same situation.
I wrote as well, and just got a negative response today... essentially said "tough luck", in QFF customer care garble... oh well; still counts for LTG which is coming up this year

I suggest you call and ask again, or submit another request. Hint that you are aware of other members with 31 Aug anniversary who got the gifted SC expiration reversed.

Hi all, I have the 75 SC bonus and have 555 status credits in total. So that is 480 for flights. If I earn another 20 SC will I be eligible for the 50 SC bonus to get me up to Gold?

Probably, if those are Qantas or jetstar metal SC, without DSC. Anyway, to be sure how far you are from the 50SC bonus, just head over your status page on the qantas website, this info is displayed and accurate.

Provided all the 480 SCs are QF/JQ flights, that should qualify for the bonus, and it would count to gold. Depends on whether you are looking to gain (700) or retain (600).

To be more specific these status credits must be earned on flights with a Qantas (QF) or JetStar (GK, 3K, JQ) flight number. So the flight does not necessarily need to be operated but Qantas or JetStar but it needs to have their flight number. This is significant because sometimes you can take Qantas or JetStar operated flights that carry a different flight number. For instance, flying Qantas from Sydney to Dallas my flight had an AA flight number. Similarly flying between SYD and SIN my Qantas operated flight carried a FinnAir flight number. In both instances those flights were not eligible for the loyalty bonus, even though Qantas did operate the flights.

Now Qantas will tell you exactly where you are towards the loyalty bonus threshold. From the Qantas mobile app, tap My QFF, then tap learn more under the Status Credits count. You'll see the Loyalty Bonus count as the second heading:

Thanks all! I appreciate the speed and all of responses! I decided to call and confirm at the same time as this post and they offered to just extend me for 12 months regardless. Totally unexpected!

But yea, all 480 SC were 'eligible'. I don't normally have an issue to retaining, but with travel policy changes and leave this year it was really close!
