Apologies but I have asked this question somewhere in the past but its lost in my memory.
Has anyone had the experience where a WP successfully requests that a revenue seat be converted to a "u" to allow for an Australian domestic upgrade from a paid economy seat ?
I would like to sit next to my wife who has already been upgraded - don't ask me the whole story - but a large QF computer glitch occurred!
EF currently shows D8 I7 for that flight.
John,Are you sure that there are no U?
EF has a glitch where it does not show U under 'Flight Availability' (but it does show X).
You need to check for U under 'Awards & Upgrades'.
P1?Had an Award seat in J released for QF10 next month.
J9 C9 D0 I0
Confirmed within 24 hours of manual request.
Yes
You can request seats for a family member from your account. You do not need to be flying.I wanted to request release of J seats for some friends to travel SYD-FCO. The platinum member does not need to be flying correct?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
How many cousins do you have? Can we book award, let alone request seat release, for friends? I thought it was limited to family members.
Friends, no. Family, yes.I wanted to request release of J seats for some friends to travel SYD-FCO. The platinum member does not need to be flying correct?
No. Classic reward seat release requests would be unsuccessful that close to a flight. On a side note, if I requested a points upgrade from a Y award and it goes through a few days before check in, can I just cancel it and request for that J seat to be booked as an award instead? Would save me some points. Thanks!
If you are Platinum requesting seats it’s I class that needs to be available.I have OWA flights back from Europe june and september this year.
Currently coming back via complicated connections via HND and HKG respectively .
I rang unsuccessfully friday to request freeing up of seats LHR - SIN or LHR-SYD to get to BNE. All options had 9 x "i" seats available and the agent tried unsuccessfully.
The agent told me that you need a "J" seat to be available for conversion to be on the cards .
Has anyone heard of this ?
I was under the impression that it was the "i" class seats that gave you the best chance - I accept there are many other variables as well .
