QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

As a P1 I got a “no escalation without a J sale response” to a request to open up 1 x J seat LHR - SIN showing I5 after the bot said no.

Perhaps just a new optional script to the “blackout period” reason I’ve received previously. To be fair the VIP team rep did spend a decent amount of time trying to find alternatives but I’d already determined there weren’t any before calling.

So also added 11/1 to see if I could get a bit later to my SYD-ICN, still got droid says no, allocation exceeded

When you look at the loads its J9C9D9I9 with no seats allocated on any flights. I'm still convinced there is a blackout period during Jan

Tried for 2 F Seats LAX-SYD in May on a couple of days with this loading and denied.
A9 P0 D9 I5 U0

I haven't had much luck in the last few times I've called even when I've picked flights with plenty of I or A :(

What does that mean, no escalation without a J sale response?
I took it to mean that irrespective of I5 availability they had been told not to bother the busy people in load management for a manual review of the droids response unless there was a business class sale promotion going on. I didn’t press if that was a LHR sector specific restriction but I suspect it maybe. This was for a LHR - SIN sector in mid August. Given it was Hobart providing the advice I’ll take it as true rather than a fob off

"allocation exceeded" could refer to the number of reward seats already released on this flight (at this point in time) and there may be a limit for what YM will allow. It's possible a P1 could get that overridden depending on the dark arts of PCV and agents authority (I've experienced agents suggesting to me they shouldn't technically open seats, but have anyway - and I've seen EF loadings to support that assertion so I don't think it's been a line) but definitely more discretion with such things - but not always of course.

So success getting SYD-LAX-SYD opened up for next year, trying to add MEL-SYD on she can only offer me very tight connections - says the system isn't letting her book me the 6AM MEL-SYD on the same ticket. She said the only flight the system will let her book is 8:45AM which will get into SYD at 10:20 (to connect to 11:15 QF11) which is below MCT, then she tells me that she can't book it but her excuse doesn't make sense....

Similar issue coming home - only flight she can give me is 10AM Departure from SYD (when i Arrive LAX-SYD at 8:25AM)...

Anyone know the best day/time of day to call to get Hobart? as I've had them have a similar issue before and get the 6AM added on...

Just ask for the night before

Just ask for the night before
she said the earliest flight she could get me was the 8:30AM one (which I assume means she couldn't see any the night before? Or as you suggesting if she did search the night before that it would then show her the morning flights on the day I want?

She has not even looked for the night before. I pretty much guarantee that.

Also, coming home you should be automatically rebooked on a later flight if there’s a miss connect.

Pot luck, I'm afraid. When the queues are long though you're more likely to get Cape Town or one of the other useless ones.
ahhh I know that when I've managed to get the phone system to offer me a call back, that's always Hobart calling me back (at least in my experience)

yeah exactly, I'm less worried about the flight home, it's that outbound one
