Good luck that time of year ex Oz!Didn't end up booking anything, will keep an eye out for cash fares.
I'm always flying out around that time of year, not had to pay anything more then $4.5k to SE Asia yet. This year's looking like $5.2k to $6k though.Good luck that time of year ex Oz!

No Y seats could be released in QF27 for entire month of March. Pretty disappointing.Worth a call, but some dates are a definite no

This was discussed elsewhere but you shouldn't have a problem finding economy and business class seats down to Santiago in March. To make a long story short, what is happening now is LATAM (Qantas' main classic awards partner for Santiago) is sporadically adding economy and business classic availability like once a month (I'm finding around the middle of the month so maybe check on Saturday) and then taking it all away a day or two later. You certainly need to be on your toes to find it but it does crop up and the availability is very nice. For instance, last month when availability popped up on the 15th, I was able to get my brother-in-law, sister-in law and mother-in-law all booked into LATAM business flying Sydney to Santiago, and even managed them to get all the way to Porto Alegre, Brazil (albeit with that last domestic sector in economy) for mid March without issues.Mr SS junior needs a one way SYD - SCL on QF27 in the 7 days or so from March 4. Y is fine. Mrs SS (WP) is not in a position to call at the moment and request a CR seat. There is plenty of C+. Is anyone able to guess if a request for CR is likely to be successful on any of those dates?
